Settling In

In wintertime, Iceland has very short days, with very late sunrise. It can be difficult to get up in the morning, but it means you get to see the sunrise everyday!
At this time (2012), I didn't have a phone plan that allowed for roaming between countries without huge extra data fees. Nowadays, I can go basically anywhere and use my data my normal rates, which means I can get around with map apps and such. But back then, I had to save map screenshots to my iPad! Basically the stone age.
