They inspected the flag. It had white and red stripes, and a blue patch with many stars on it.

Are these the grey stars?

Upon further inspection, they noticed the stars were white, not grey.

Mh… This is not it.

Roy and Famfay had left the park and were on the way back to Roy’s car. He had parked a little further away, since it was very hard to find a parking spot in the immediate area.

Famfay yawned. Then suddenly, his ears perked up. “Roy-”
“Mh? What is it?”
“There’s- There’s a very powerful Morpho Mon nearby.”
“What?” Roy looked around. “Where?!”

“Follow me!!” Famfay jumped off his shoulders and morphed into his Pergrandis form, running fast.

“Famfay, wait!!” Roy ran after him. “We have to call the defenders! We’re no match for a powerful opponent!!”

Famfay came to a halt before a flag post.
A humanoid figure with large wings and horns sat on top. Their hair was dark purple and their visible eye was glowing in the dark, the rest of their face covered in a black mask. Their left arm was incredibly bulky, covered in what looked like red scales with thorns.

“I-It’s a Humanus type!!”

The unknown Morpho Mon stood up, balancing on top of the flag post with ease, looking down at Famfay. In just a second, their eye widened and they pulled down their mask. “There- There’s no way…--”
“Come down and fight you coward!!”

“Famfay!! Stop!! Don’t pick a fight with him!!” Roy caught up, panting in exhaustion.

The Morpho Mon jumped down the flag post, landing on their feet without making a sound. Surprisingly, they didn’t look threatening, but rather… shocked.

“... Famfay?”, they called, in a weak voice.

Famfay froze. “Why do you know my name?!”

Then suddenly - his heart sank. He felt a familiar tingling in his soul.

One he last felt over three years ago, before he fell through the portal.

“.... Scorpio?” Famfay tilted his head.

“...Gh…-- Yes-” Scorpio bared his teeth. “YES IT’S ME! You BASTARD!” He loaded an energy ball in his left arm and shot it at Famfay, who was immediatly thrown against a nearby lamp post.

“UGH-!” Famfay fell to the ground. “N-No…--”

“Wha-” Roy turned to Scorpio. Everything happened so fast. “Why are you attacking your own brother?!”

“Grrhh…” Scorpio pulled his mask up again. “I can’t- I can’t deal with this right now!!” He threw his right arm before him, summoning a purple portal on the ground. He stepped forwards and jumped through, the portal immediately vanishing the second he was through.

“W-What-?! Did he--!” Roy faced Famfay again. “F-Famfay!!” He knelt down next to him. “Are you okay?! Did he hurt you?!”
“Ahh…” Famfay shivered. “Scor… pio....”
“S-Stay calm- okay?!” Roy pulled out his smartphone, and called the HQ. “H-Hey- I need medical staff to my location immediately - my partner is hurt… and - I need to see Mr. Williams ASAP! It’s urgent… … A-hah… Yes- please tell him - …

… we found the origin of the portals.”
