Volume 01: Confronting Fate

Chapter 2: A Normal day

[Calix's P.O.V.]

It flustered me as he looks at me. Our eyebrows raised and arched, we dropped our jaw. He is so handsome and tall. We can fall in love with his beautiful smile.

Mrs. Dela Cruz commanded Luca, our new student, to sit beside me. I said 'hi' to him, and he replied 'hello,' and it was over; it was hard for him to talk.

"Okay After I recall our lesson last will have a quiz." Mrs. Dela-Cruz said.

After recalling the lesson, Mrs. Dela-Cruz provided the Questionnaire and the answer sheet for the quiz. She asks Luca if he want to take the quiz or not; he said he'll take an examination.

 It surprised me that Luca took the quiz, even though Mrs. Dela Cruz just recalled the summary of the lesson. Mrs. Dela Cruz has not yet recalled the formula for a particular equation. After an hour and a half,

"Okay, pass first the Questionnaire, then the answer sheet. I'll announce tomorrow the scores and goodbye class." Mrs. Dela-Cruz is preparing to go out.

It was lunch break. Trixie (Trixie was the one I talked to earlier) said that I'd ask Luca to go shopping with us. I'm embarrassed to tell Luca to go shopping. Trixie encourages me to tell Luca to go shopping. Eventually, I agree.

"Luca, right? Can I ask you to go shopping with my friends?" I said in a small, panicky voice.

"Sure, why not? I'll buy a console and some games. Who is with us?" Luca agrees.

“Trixie, Jayen, Abel and Analy are with us.” I spoke.

"Okay ... After class, right?"

"Yes."    

It's already 4:00 p.m. It's time for us to go shopping. Luca and my friends left school and walked to the jeep stop.

"Calixta, right? How will we go to the mall?" Luca said.

"You can call me Calix. We'll use a jeepney because it's cheap we don't have money for a taxi," I said.

"Ahh, okay..." Luca mutters, "Here's the money for transportation I don't know how to pay." I handed a 1000-peso bill.

It surprised me when Luca handed the 1000-peso bill to me; I assumed he did not know how to commute, and I asked Luca if he has a 10-peso coin. He gives him the 10-peso coin. We got inside the jeep, and it's crowded. We arrive at the mall, and it's already 5:00 p.m.

*Inside the mall*

"Hey, Luca, what do you want to buy," Trixie asked.

"Some games," Luca replied.

"Come along with Jayen and Trixie. They have a lot of knowledge about games." Analyn babbled.

"Okay." Luca agrees.

"let's meet at the entrance after shopping," I said.

[Luca's P.O.V.]

After wandering around the mall, we find the game store. I look at games I can't choose what to buy, so I buy three different consoles and 12 different games worth 86,000 pesos.

"Hey dude, you bought a lot. Can you pay for that?" Jayen lifted an eyebrow.

"Will I buy if I can't afford it?" My eyes opened wide; my eyebrows raised.

Trixie chuckled. Jayen stares at me with partly closed eyes.

I go to the cashier to pay; I ask if I can pay with a credit card; the cashier said yes, and I whisper to the cashier that I'll pay for the things that my classmate wants. After I pay, I went to the restroom to take a piss. When I come back, Jayen and Trixie were thankful for paying. At the entrance, we passed a flower shop. I bought flowers for Calix, thanking her for inviting me to the mall.

*At the Entrance*

"Hey Calix, have you been there for a long time, and have you been waiting?" Trixie said.

"We just arrived a few minutes," Calix said.

"You bought a lot, Luca," Analyn said.

"I just arrived yesterday; I didn't have time to buy," I said.

"Analyn, Abel, and Calix, Luca just treated Jayen and me," Trixie said.

[Analyn is her friend no.2, and Abel is her other friend]

"Wow, really, Luca, how much did you spend?" Abel said

"Just 86,000pesos," I said.

"What!" They doubted.

I give the flowers to Calix; she was flustered, and I say thank her and after that; we go to a restaurant to eat dinner. While eating, they warned me that Mort Felix Guaquenco might bully me and told them not to worry about me. After eating we say our goodbye then go home. After I got home, I take a shower then play the console that I buy.

*The next day*

I was ready to go to class. I called the driver of my car to drive me to school. On the way, I met my two classmates, Jayen and Abel.

 I called them to get in the car, and it surprised them when they saw me, and they quickly got in the car to go to class so as not to be late. In the car, we're talking about games and other stuff.

 Abel and Jayen bet on the top-Scorer in the math quiz, Abel bet Calix is the top 1, and Jayen bet on himself.

We're already at school. I went to my locker to put my things in, but all the love letters are for me. I'm invited to date. It did not surprise Jayen and Abel when they see all the love letters because they said that I'm attractive.

I go outside and find a trash bin, took out a lighter, and burned all the letters because they were not worthy of a "Slayer" like me.

After I burned the letters, I go to class the takes a seat. A few minutes later, Mrs. Dela-Cruz enters the room.

 "Okay, class, wait a minute, I'll fix my stuff." Mrs. Dela-Cruz said, "Okay, I'll announce the top scorer for the quiz yesterday; he got a perfect 50/50; congrats Luca Francesco, you got the top score for the quiz yesterday."

My classmates doubted me for getting the top score. Mrs. Dela-Cruz announces Calix was 2nd, Jayen was 4th, Trixie was 8th, Abel was 13th, and Analyn was 14th.

After the class, we eat lunch together. I just finished eating.

Calix invites me to join her club, and I agree to join her club for fun. To the faculty room, I ask for club registration for "Anime and Games club."

Calix and her friends guide me to go to the clubroom. There are unexpected happens. Something tripped Calix and almost fell down the stairs, and I held his hand so Calix wouldn't fall.

"Are you okay, milady?" I said in a flirtatious way.

"Y-yes," she said in a voice soft with affection.

After I help her, we head back to the clubroom, and we're doing club activities. After an hour, we're done doing club activities, and it's 5:00.

I'm walking towards the school gate with Jayen. Someone calls us, and we turn around. We see our classmate; his name is Mort Felix Guaquenco. He said he needs to talk to us. After that, I went home with Jayen.
