I did a photo montage instead to draw but I wanted to share. It's for an organism that helps people with addiction.
I handle my junk food cravings by truly provididing the nutrient that my body needs, in a healthier manner. Magnesium from nuts instead of chocolate. Fruits full of vitamin C instead of refined sugar...
I do the same with drugs.
But the reasons to take drugs vary so much I could only give a general idea, to open minds.
To have energy I take the B complex. To relax I take vitamin C and magnesium. As food but supplements too, and lots of them. Magnesium gave me a better euphoria than pot when I first fixed my deficiency, now I feel generally less depressed... kinda good in spite on the pain and shits.
Drugs gave me way more trouble than the fun I had. I hate to feel like a slave too. And I can do a big home made feast for the price of just 1 speed pill! Mushrooms were 20$ I can get sushis for that!
I replaced the starbuck coffee logo by Disney's little mermaid. If you feel sorry for the cute hedgehog, then don't do it to yourself. The beer is more like liquid rage than courage...
Choose a side. Choose a different way and you completely change your world.
My comics don't necessarily represent my opinions, because I often use sarcasm to make what I dislike look ridiculous. I don't draw horror because I like it, it's to vent my worries. Don't hold it against me. I'm just trying to find the courage to face how disturbing reality can be... so I can make it better. Denial in a cute fake dream allows hell to continue.
This is for comical purpose. Don't expect health comics to be absolute truth when even science can be wrong. Don't believe anything blindly or you'll never stop being wrong and fooled. Find the truth on your own.
Question reality. Don't shy away from exploring darkness, the truth often lies there.
Having negative emotions is ok, what matters is what you do with them... you can use them to learn, evolve by finding a better path, and make something constructive. I try to improve my life, when I can't yet, I make comics...
Have a laugh it's a great way to cope.
I hope that practice will improve my drawing skills.
