How many days should I keep longing for a presence that has never been mine?

Every night I sleep within the spirit of your warmth, yet every time I wake up, my
hands kept searching for something that was never there. The ache became
stronger as noon came, and my heart was out cold, fighting and telling myself once
again, “carpe diem.”
