“I’m so sorry for trespassing ! I’ll leave right away, I don’t want to cause trouble !” There was nothing left salvageable of the broken camera, and the memory card was emptied, so Auvery didn’t think twice about leaving it there. He began making his way back on the branch, giving an awkward smile.
“Oh hell fucking no !! Stay right where you are or I’m calling the cops immediately !” His harsh voice ordered from below. “I’m not stupid to think you’re just trespassing ! You’re fucking mental I don’t know what you’re doing with that camera !”
Auvery froze on the spot.
“Shit no ! No, no, please ! This is DEFINITELY not what this was ! I-I swear ! Holy mothe- AAH !!”
Let me remind you where Auvery currently is (or rather was, a second ago). In a tree. On a branch. Quite a height away from the ground. But you know. It's ok. You wouldn't be stupid enough to start walking backwards without paying attention in such a situation. Right? Right??
Ah but let me remind you of a name. Auvery. It's Auvery we're talking about. He's not stupid as per se, he's got a rather clever mind actually. But when he gets himself in circumstances that leave you shaking your head in disappointment, all logic tends to fly out.
Auvery was right. This day was soooo not good. He ended up landing on his backside, resulting in an immense amount of pain. He immediately rolled over onto his side and held his hands over his butt cheeks. Auvery didn’t have a bad tolerance to pain but this was something else, he really couldn’t stop himself from crying.
Moments later Auvery’s one night stand appeared in front of him, his figure blurred by the tears. The situation was definitely not helped by the usually warm, molten gold undertones of the boy’s dark brown skin, now hidden by the shadows of the surrounding trees. The man looked.. Rather intimidating to say the least. “Are you ok? Did you break anything?” His voice wavered between annoyance and worry, which left Auvery so much more irritated.
“Are you fucking blind !! Of course I’m not fine, my ass is fucking broken !!” In a pathetic excuse of a try to sound tough and angry, what came out of Auvery sounded more like a little girl's sob with voice cracks in between.
“It’s not my fault you fell, asshole !” Any concern was now gone, from the boy. "Tsk.." Sneering at Auvery he turned around and left somewhere.
This was it. Auvery was going to be imprisoned. There’s no way the boy didn’t go to call the police. What was he going to say to his auntie?? After all that she’s done for him, there was no other way to disappoint her this much.
What about his university? Or his course project?? What will his professor say? Will he have to drop out? Or his apartment bills??? Oh god, he'll never be hired again with a criminal record !!
Wait. But he didn’t actually stalk him. He just took photos of the garden.
But he trespassed ! Not to mention the largest mansion in this area ! There’s no way he wouldn’t be arrested !! Oh god, he really should’ve paid attention to the crime documentaries his auntie watched. How long would the sentence be? A year? Five years?? A decade????
In the midst of Auvery’s panic, the familiar dark face appeared, with a tall barstool. He set it against the fence and proceeded to get onto it. The barstool gave enough of a height boost for him to reach the top of the fence to pull himself onto it.
Wait what? Huh?? Why was he- Oh..
His backpack. But why?..
"Depending on your answer, either I'm going to escort you to the security team," Auvery’s one night stand spoke as he was getting back down from the wall, before squatting in front of Auvery "Or I'm gonna be nice and give you a chance to never appear in my sight again. So tell me, what the actual fuck were you doing?"
Auvery was left appalled. Was the man serious? Here he was, cradled on the floor, in pain, with a bruised backside (AND ego might I mention), crying his eyes out, and his expensive camera broken into pieces. Did he have no sympathy?? Auvery needed to get to a doctor, not be left wallowing on the grass, trying to explain himself !
He sucked the air through his clenched teeth, biting back an insult. After all, this was his chance to get out unscathed. “I was taking pictures of the garden..” Before the man in front could answer back, he really could not hold himself in “Sorry to disappoint but your revolting face didn’t make the cut” Auvery could see the shock he left, feeling very proud of himself.
“If so, are you saying your standards are that low for a good fuck?” Now it was Auvery’s turn to look shocked. He didn’t expect an insult back, let alone that fast. Oh this was so on.
“Why do you think I fucked you face down?”
“Are you sure? From what I can remember, even then you couldn’t keep your eyes off of my face”
“I hate to shatter your illusions but I was thinking how your parents didn’t do justice to your body with that head” Even though Auvery was throwing such insults, he had to admit to himself, the boy in reality was one hell of an eye candy. Except you wouldn’t catch him dead, admitting that out loud.
“Oooh so that explains the mediocrity ! You were so distracted by me that your performance suffered. I’m truly flattered”
“It seems you like it mediocre then, your moans really were something else, had to keep your mouth busy with-” Before Auvery could finish his sentence their little insult competition was burst by an unfamiliar voice.
“Rahan? I know you’re somewhere here ! I heard your voice ! We’re going to be late again !” The voice was growing closer within seconds. “Rahan, I swear to god I’m never gonna let you come with me again ! Oh ! Uh.. What’s going on here?”
A tall, burly, young looking woman came into the view. Her skin was a light honey bronze, with a hint of red in her cheeks. The sides of her black hair were shaved, and what was left was gathered in a bun at the top. She was wearing black basketball shorts and a loose tank top, revealing the sides of her red sports bra and a well defined body like an amazonian warrior.
“Well hot damn ! You’re exactly the type Sonya’s been looking for. Do you swing that way? Want me to introduce her to you? That’s if you’re single and interested of course ! I don’t want to impose..” Auvery really had to learn to keep his mouth shut, but before he could apologise a hearty laugh erupted from her.
“I like you ! Rahan, where did you meet him? You need more friends like that !”
Both Auvery and his one night stand, apparently named Rahan (had they really never introduced themselves or did Auvery just forget?) interrupted her in perfect unison before she could say anything else “We’re not friends”
It seemed to catch her off guard for a second before she erupted into another just as hearty laugh “Well if you two are not friends then I welcome you to be mine. I’m Mackenzie” She offered a hand for Auvery to get up, before adding with a wink “And you can totally introduce me to the mystery Sonya”
Auvery loves photography and he has a secret hobby. And it's definitely not something you should be doing. Because if you get caught, then good luck explaining it and not coming off as a complete creep making up a lie to save your hide.
But that's exactly what happened to Auvery. After all, he's not as sneaky as he thinks. Nor is he capable of successfully convincing the familiar figure that he climbs into the trees behind lavish, grand mansions, not to photograph the boys he's had a one night stand with, for some weird stalker fantasies, but to take photos of the flowers in the garden.
