The strange woman stood waiting just outside the store while the two stacked the games on the shelf.
Kye looked back to see if she was legitly waiting for Kohji, and she in fact was- And Kohji was trying his hardest to by time to avoid her.
"Is that...her?" Kye whispered and placed a game on, Kohji for the first time since they met seemed out of it.
"She was meant to show tomorrow.. I.." He managed to say, but went silent.
"Bad terms?" Kye mentioned, and it seemed to hit the spot- Kohji dropped the games off the shelf by accident and seemed to have gotten a little mad- "something like that" he replied.
The woman walked back in fed up and crouched down beside Kohji, "stop avoiding me Kohji, please" she whispered.
Kye was in a spot where he could say something and possibly ruin everything with the nothing he knew about the situation, or he could remain silent, or walk away to let the conversation end.
"I'll, stack the other shelves" Kye stood to leave, space is what these two obviously need and him being there is not helping.
The woman stood mad while facing him, What's her deal?.
"Yeah, walk away why don't you" she announced, Kye was completely confused, he had nothing to do with this conversation.
"Would you rather me join in on this?" He spoke back, giving her the same treatment.
"Well you're obviously a problem in this now, now aren't you. His shirt fit nice?" she snapped back, Kye in an instant shot to shock.
He looked down to the name tag pinned in the shirt at the pocket, it read "Kohji".
Shit. In such a rush I didn't even check what shirt I put on.
In these predicaments of being confronted, Kye is always the first one to shoot back, this time he can't- he WAS in the wrong.
Who ever this woman is, she seemed to have some bone to pick with him and he still doesn't know other than he's waring his 'friend''s shirt by mistake.
"Obviously I'm not meant to waring this" he just replied, what else could he say?.
She chucked her hands up and let them fall as a sighn of 'see?!' while looking to Kohji, who was standing now, and not happy.
"Why's it matter to you?" he asked bluntly, Kye was silent and looked around to see is anyone was listening in on the conversatin- luckily no. He felt so silly, like this was one of those 'cheating arguments' you only ever heard went down in public but never actualy seen it.
"You're having a fit over me being married to another girl, while you're down this end of the bridge having it off with another guy?!" - this time she shouted, and this time it DID catch peoples attention.
Kye has never felt this overwealmed before. He had no idea weather he should leave or stand his ground to defend this honor...or defend what he thought he and Kohji had... if that's what you would call a one-nighter.
Things just got worse, Barker and Travis walked out of the store room, no doubt seeing what the commotion was. Kye nearly flipped his shit at this point- but he's holding it, he's sick of being looked at like he is always in the wrong.
Kohji and this woman were staring off, neither cared what the surroundings thought, whatever these two were REALLY arguing about must really matter to them.
"So I hang out with a mate and you immedietly go straight to sex huh?... I think you're the one having a fit, Blair" Kohji replied.
"NO! I didn't come down here to be made to feel bad about my decisions. What I have done is by my own volition. I was not FORCED like you think I was, how dare you!" she growled back.
Kye noticed Kohji tense up.
"I never said you did, stop turning things arond like you're the victum!" he snapped back, everyone was silent.
"Aye champ, I think you should calm down" A man in the crowed made his way over to diffuse the situation.
Kye got pissed off, yet another who knows nothing is stepping in. Just like over the bridge all over again.
"Back the fuck off and let them finish this" He called out, the man stopped in his tracks, confused.
Kohiji walked to the store room door, passed his workers who were also in complete shock, Kye looked to Blair, "Was making a scene part of the visit, if it's not then follow him" he said.
He never thought he'd get so agitated over this kinda thing, and like hell he thought he'd ever get involved in these 'relationship-blues'. Such a weird feeling.
She glared, held her toung, then made her way to the store room.
Kye looked around and saw many people looking over, the man who was getting involved slunk back out the door. Kye took a deep breath, then let it go.
"What the fuck was all that about?" Travis asked and stood near Kye, who continued to stack the shelves. "None of our business".
Travis scoffed and walked off.
What are they talking about?. It obviously isn't good.
Kye may not know Kohji to a T, but he knows heartbreak when he sees it.
***
It was over an hour before Kohji walked back on the floor in the store- minus Blair. Kye was showing customers the shelves they asked about and he happened to notice him walk back in.
Kohji, silent and still angry but somehow calm, walked back behind the counter.
Yet another position Kye was put in- does he approach his friend and ask if he's alright?, or should he leave him to think?.
He chose to let him think, might even allow him to think as well.
He really did like his new friend/partner, whatever.. he hasn't felt like he's cared for many people in his life before, but something about him makes him WANT to try and keep him.
He wasn't sure if that's what Kohji felt though, which is a problem.
Through-out the rest of the day, they avoided eachother, and this made it quite clear that things are just not meant to be apparently. Again.
While the shop shutters were locked up and the crew standing around, Kye was the first to take his leave and head towards the mall's west doors, only to be stopped by a remark Barker made- but it wasn't directed at him.
"That bad your girl turns to her own uh Santana?"- what, the, fuck.
"At least my girl was real...and not my fist" Kohji dead-pan snapped. It was funny, but not in this situation. Kye walked back over.
Barker was shut down, obviously guilty. He was trying to keep his cool,
"Yeah, well... at least it's my own....." He looked to Kye, "-And not someone else's"
Kye did not think anything through, he just went on impulse and in a flash Barker's nose was broken.
"Holy shit!" Travis shouted and backed up as the two were now in a brawl. Kohji didn't stop the fight, and Travis was too shocked to do a damn thing.
Blood wasn't only boiling, it was flying. Kye had set off in a fit of rage this time, he is SICK of being the blame, for ANYONE.
"GET THE FUCK OFF ME MAN!" Barker shouted between hits, it fell on deaf ears.
"Kye" Kohji's voice chimmed in, he didn't yell but Kye heard it, and stopped to look over.
Kohji didn't look pissed off anymore, he was how he was this morning- how Kye liked seeing him.
Seeing him like this after what happened today could be the reason he actualy stopped, but that's something he'll think about later no doubt.
"I think he get's it now" Kohji finished, looking like there was a smile being held back.
Kye took one look at Barker under him terrified, bloodied mouth and now your can't tell his nose is broken from the amount of blood smooshed over his face. Kye stood, dragging Barker up with him and through him to Travis.
Kye got the point across- the point being there's nothing between he and Kohji...
This was a bittersweet small victory that he didn't want.
If there are any grammar mistakes do please tell me, I wrote this so quickly during the night when it came to me and I really wanted to get it out there!

Thank you, Love you❤❤❤❤❤
Kohji has worked in this video game store since he left high school 7 years ago, things have always been the same- wake up, go to work, play games, clock off, bed- rinse and repeat.
Nothing.changes.
Until word gets around the small town that a new couple have moved in and their son is prone to fighting and is considered a danger.
What would happen if by some odds, this boy happens to like Kohji? would this be the thing Kohji has needed for so many mundane years?
