So, what do you guys think of the new Halcyon Days speech bubbles? I always meant to make them have more personality, but I couldn't figure out how to do it when I was drawing the prologue. I will probably be going back and redoing the lettering on the prologue, because to be honest - lettering was something that I really underestimated, and I had very little experience with it, and I've learned a lot since then. It won't be anytime soon, ‘cause I'm still working on new pages, but maybe around the time when I'm getting ready to publish Volume 1 (kickstarter, ooooo) in a year and a bit, I would undertake something like that. I have to color-correct a lot of the pages for print because them blues they uh… they don’t print so good right now. D:
Also, another announcement! I realized that the story pacing was a little off, and next month's update will actually be a page that would be inserted earlier in the chapter. Just to give the narrative a bit more room to breathe and to deliver some emotional impact that is missing at the moment. So don't be surprised next month if it looks like there is no update, or if you see that there's an update but it's not the most recent page chronologically, because it's going to be inserted between the current page 3 and the current page 4.

Dot's mother is a famous space explorer. A famous missing space explorer. Missing like Dot-has-a-letter-from-the-Council-of-Human-Affairs kind of missing, not just the usual Mom-missing.
But Dot has a theory - and a plan. A theory that hinges on an old spacer's fairy tale and plan that relies on Dot's home-grown techno-baubles actually working (for once). But it is a real theory, and a real plan - and Dot is going to bring her mother home.
