Noah followed Pyriko cautiously but with an intrigued mind. He observed Pyriko as he flung doors open to reveal a hallway and at the end of it another door which would open to show the same thing.
Finally, Noah and Pyriko arrived at a small hallway with no windows at the side but torch lights to illuminate the way.
"A-Are you sure this isn't a forbidden area?" Noah asked, looking at the torch lights' flicker uneasily.
"Of course not. This is basically my area of your Cap'n Buck's home." Pyriko replied, nearing the peculiar brown door at the end of the hallway.
When they have reached the end, Pyriko opened the door slowly, which made the 'creak' sound give an ominous feeling. Pyriko extended his arm to open the door further and before Noah could see anything, the fire of the torch lights distinguished and both Noah and Pyriko were left in complete darkness.
Noah looked around him. He tried to catch even a glimmer of light but, unfortunately, he could not see any. He decided to talk to Pyriko about the darkness.
"Pyriko? Are you still here?"
No answer.
"Pyriko? Did you go into the..." Noah's sentence stopped when Noah witnessed a little spec of light behind him.
The light, that was apparently changing its colors, grew to a fire's flame and then bigger into a shape. A shape which wasn't that recognizable at first but then Noah could see the shape turning more and more into the silhouette of him. The shape, which looked like Noah, had eyes which stared at Noah.
"Hello?" Noah said, a bit too loud for his liking.
The shape tilted its head to the side a bit.
"Hello Noah." The shape replied.
Noah took a frightening step back.
"Who-Who are you?" Noah's body began quivering in its place.
"Me? Can't you see? I'm you."
Widening his eyes to optimum length, Noah gulped drily and tried to think what to do or if he should be doing something more logical than talking to an apparition that claims they're him.
"How am I you?" Noah chose his hands with care.
"I'm in every way like you but more mature."
Noah did not understand what the shape meant.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I'm not supposed to tell you if you don't figure it out for yourself. I'm you, Noah. I'm you but much more mature. Aware of the choices out there, the options right here and the being I am. That's all I have to say I'm afraid." The shape explained.
Still bedazzled, Noah tried to get more answers from the shape.
"Can't you tell me more? Like why are you here or how you are more mature than me?"
"I'm sorry, Noah. I'm sorry." The shape uttered before dispersing completing out of sight, leaving Noah back in darkness.
Noah still couldn't see anything. He drifted his head right and left but there were no sign of the shape or even Pyriko.
"P...Pyriko?" Noah whispered.
He didn't like being in the dark too long as he didn't know what could be lurking in the abyss of nothingness. So, he slithered his body down to the floor and hugged his legs in hope that someone would come to save him.
