Dark clouds had reigned the sky and it seemed like there would be some rain, even though the forecast had said it would be a clear day with no clouds and only blue sky.
And in the corner of the bustling city of Sethia, a boy groggily let out a yawn as he closes the door of the bar. Today too Kyoko had slept on the bar where he worked part-time at- his reason being; too lazy to go home.
He looks up at the sky. If I make a run for it,I can make it before the rain.
Despite having that thought, unlike other days when the only thing he would want to do was reach home and hit the bed, today he wanted to take the longest time possible to get there.
Am I finally getting awakened? Will I get superheroes power?
He sarcastically remarked at his unknown urge of excitement, which he rarely felt. Determined to waste as much time as possible to reach the apartment, he checked his bag for pills just in case his heat comes. Since his heat was inconsistent and would come as an unwelcome guest.
After he confirmed he even had the neutralizer in case he had to come across an alpha, which was a rare case, after all, no elite alphas would come to an unamusing city like Sethia. Every citizen of Sethia were either omegas or betas; and if there was one in the million chance that alpha was born the whole family would move out in hopes of properly nurturing them and closing their gap to get rich.
Truly a depressing city. Kyoko sighed, glancing at moving people who wouldn't even spare a glance if an accident were to happen.
But he didn't despise the city, after all, it was citizens who would make it that way. If alphas were to reside here, Sethia would too be an exceptional city with abundant facilities.
As he was occupied with these thoughts, a trickle of raindrops slid down his cheeks hitting him with the realisation that it was not the time to think about unnecessary stuff and make a run for his apartment.
"Shit, it just had to rain."
He cursed under his breath and fasten his steps, gradually running towards his destination.
Just a bit more.
He trudges forward occasionally pushing or being pushed by the running people.
As he was about to cross the road the red sign displayed on the traffic light, making him stop.
The best day ever. He rolls his eyes, getting further soaked in the rain. After patiently waiting for the colour to change to green, he dashes forward and makes it to the other side.
Just a bit more.
He thought, but came to a sudden halt and turned back, only to see a boy barely in his mid-20s looking back at him with an unreadable expression on his face.
A sweet aroma filled the atmosphere and when Kyoko met his eyes, it felt as if the world had stopped and time slowed down for them. The heavy downpour, the noise that surrounded them and the people who were running to shelter from the rain; all of it blurred but none of them mattered either.
In contrast to Kyoko who was standing still and staring at the boy in front of him, he didn't dare to blink- fearing that it was a dream and the boy would disappear into a thin air, the boy walked closer enough just to feel their breath against each other.
"Mate." The boy muttered in a low voice barely enough for Kyoko to hear.
The rain had already soaked Kyoko completely- the water dripped from his hair to his face and it was only after he could feel the salty taste on his lips, he realised it wasn't rain but his tears.
I hope this wasn't a dream. Even if it was, don't disappear even after I wake up.
"What's it like to fall in love with your fated mate?"
Kyoko only had one dream in his life, meeting his fated mate. The person who was born just for you but it was easier said than done, after all he had never step a foot outside his home city Sethia.
Despite the future being unknown, he never lost hope but with in all of his extravantage fantasies they met in a simplest way possible.
But, this mate of his was much more than what he displayed in front. Amongst various obstacles will Kyoko manage to protect their love without loosing himself?
You don't need an extravantage meeting to write an exceptional love story.
