The knife tore through Gellio’s dark demonic body, making it reveal the deadly blue fire inside. Kyle began to wait anxiously for Gellio to fall at his knees; to make him stop feeling terrible. He wanted his brother to shut his dark mouth, for he did not need to be painfully reminded every time about how he had ruined his chance, his chance to make everything just a little better. And so he did it, stabbed him, something to stop it. There, the knife was still tearing through his blue fire, yet Gellio would not fall.
"Get to the ground you stupid demon! So you can finally stop, and maybe try to appreciate that I’m still alive, you greedy bastard!"
But Gellio didn’t. While he felt intense pain, he did not see the knife go through his chest. Instead, he focused on the now revealed blue fire. It hurt a lot, yet strangely the pain did not originate from the puncture in his chest. No, it came from somewhere else.
Why, why isn’t the knife puncturing? Gellio thought in confusion. At this point, I'd welcome my death... but, the people inside me. I promised... they..they need to be saved. And my brother won’t ruin this now!
After having enough of this, he shut the voices down in pure determination. He stood up, trembling because of the strange pain he had not yet located. He saw Kyle's terrified and confused face. The slime brother turned his gaze to his arm in Gellio's chest, then weirdly recoiled from pure pain. Painfully moving, he saw the blue fire inside his broken chest melting that slime. So much so, that Kyle's arm snapped in two, and his slimy form further went back out of pure fear.
Gellio's demonic features once again grew into a grin. He saw the puncture close with the melted slime, moving lazily and sloppily against his chest, fixing and mending it. He now felt something else, something different inside of him, a change. Not a monstruos one like his demonic form, but something great and powerful. Something that made him feel better and less scared.
And again, I'm strangely chosen to survive. I feel powerful changes within me, something to get rid of that smug green brother that ruined everything; that brother who made life ten times harder for my unfortunate self.
And now, Kyle had grown extremely frustrated. He made his now broken arm into another shorter knife. He jumped and attacked in another quick blow aimed at Gellio's chest. This time, the demonic form instinctively changed its shape to avoid the attack, becoming extremely flexible, and a whole new shape.
“What?” Kyle frustratedly asked. “Stay in place, demon!”
He striked once again, attacking another spot and dropping slime trails to make it harder to avoid. Yet, Gellio's body once again became malleable and slimy, avoiding the stab, easily and swerving quickly to the ground.
Gellio's body now became rigid again, in a quick change. He swiftly attacked Kyle, and when he tried to defend himself with his knife, he became flexible once again and went to his back. Now, the form was hard once again, so Gellio threw a strong punch at Kyle's back.
His brother instantly drew back and went to the ground, feeling now not only frustrated, but confused, looking at Gellio’s changing body staring at him down like a measly ant.
What are you, brother? Kyle thought. I attack you with slime and now, you become slime, yet your body is still as hard and rigid as ever. What…wait…
Before he could figure it out, Gellio's body once again gave him a strong punch in the face, making Kyle draw back further back into the dirty soil of the Wasteland. Even in the pain, he had figured out what Gellio was. Something too unexplainable, chaotic, and powerful.
“You.. You’re..a..a.. Hellstone beast!" Kyle stammered, "That’s why you merged with the slime!”
