Setting up the Mafia characters. Big guy is obviously the Godfather, Angelo is a high ranking bureaucrat type. And we get our first glimpse of our 'heroes' Alex and Walter.
Okay, embezzling and gambling don't sound like the traits of heroes. But there's a certain level of misunderstanding to it all. But we wouldn't get to the exact details of what transpired for them until years later when we did our Zero issue. (It was a fad, but for us it was done as a gift to people who either subscribed, and yes, we took subscriptions for a mini-comic; or for those who bought a complete set. We're still doing that, and the Zero will be included in the trade paperback 'Get Me Off this Crappy Planet' which contains issues 14-25.
