I looked up, focusing on the person who shouted her objection. It was Tiana – my little brother's girlfriend. She was from a noble family who were responsible for everything related to clothing and bags and shoes. I stood up.
She jumped from her seat, landing on the railing that separated the spectators and the field, jumping from there to landing on the field. I rolled my eyes without her knowledge. The nobles who were neither from royals nor from a lower status were ninjas.
“There are several conditions. One of which being that she cannot claim the throne without being officially engaged.” She walked up and stood between my mother and I, positioning as to she should be crowned instead of me. “You see, I am official with your son,” she began. “So I should be obliged to claim the throne.”
My mother took a deep calming breath before answering in a gentle tone. “You have been with my son for only a month. If you’d finish the training, then of course we’d be happy to crown you.” My mother was gifted in the arts of nature, one of the reasons why she was always calm while my father was gifted in the art of water and fluid.
“So instead of waiting, you’ll crown someone without even a boyfriend?” There were times when the rules were allowed to broken considering if certain conditions were met.
“We cannot wait that long.” My mother replied, walking towards me.
“Why not? It isn’t like you are dying.” I gasped, anger boiling inside me.
"Tiana!" I called through my gritted teeth, but my mother shook her head at me.
"True, I may not be dying." My mother's voice was calm. "But your training will take some time." My mother was silent for a heartbeatbeat before begining again. "Tiana."
But we do need someone to take over the throne for now until you return from your training." My mother was silent for a heartbeatbeat before begining again. "Tiana."
"Yes, 'mother'?" Tiana batted her eyelashes, making me want to puke.
"I will make Manami the fairy for now since we do need someone to take over the throne for now until you return from your training, and many of the nobles have also agreed." Giving me a disgusted look, she sighed.
"Of course mother, as you wish mother." And headed back to her seat.
As soon as the crown touched my head, I was lifted in the air, light coming from every part of my body as I went through the changes of becoming lighter than the air and growing wings on my back. Once I landed softly, I glanced back with a huge grin on my face. "I did it!" I exclaimed in happiness as I flew up in air, motivated by the claps from the audience. Making a few twirls and loops, I landed and gave my mother a tight hug. "Thank you, mom." I whispered as her arms wrapped around me.
After the coronation, I was summoned to the throne room. "Manami." My mother began. "The point of your training was also to control your anger." I looked down, guilty. "But since there were no thunderstorms, you have controlled yourself well." I nodded.
"I couldn't stand her attitude...that's why." My voice was small.
"I understand. And that is why the training exists, to separate weaklings like her from the strong ones like you and I." I smiled brightly at my mother, thankful for her kind and encouraging words. "Even Akihiko did well." He stood in attention at the mention of his name, then bowed slightly
"Enjoy you time for now," my father began after my mother. "Our family will come and congratulate you. In three days, you have meetings scheduled with the nobles around the planet." I nodded at my father, before bowing and excusing myself.
"That Tiana." I slammed my fist in my open palm as we entered my room. "How can she say something like that about my mom? And how can my mother be so calm about it?"
"Your mother has years of experince on her compared to you, that is why she had managed to remain calm." Knowing that we had some privacy in my room for a few minutes, I reached out and squeezed his cheeks.
"You think?" I teased him as he giggled and laid his hands on my waist.
"I think you are more incredible and better than her." He replied, laying his forehead against mine. I smiled in response before getting on toes to lightly brush my lips agaisnt his. "You know you shouldn't be teasing me." He whispered as he took one of my hands in his and dipped me over. "You ought to be punished for that." Akihiko smiled before moving his lips against mine slowly.

3 days had passed since my coronation, and after understanding how to corporate with my wings, along with official meeting all the members of the royal family, I was scheduled to meet the nobles. And the first noble on the list was Tiana's family. "Ugh, why her first?" I complained as I walked in Tiana's estate.
"Don't bother with her, you are meeting her parents, not her."
"True," I nodded. "But how can my own brother date someone like her?”
“Your bother didn't actually want to be with her. Rumour has it that he has rejected her a few times, but she ended up blackmailing him into dating her." I stopped in my tracks, eyes slightly wide.
"She did what?" My fists clenched as my blood boiled.
"Your black eyes are wider than saucers. Don't worry," Akihiko gently squeezed my hand. " Like your mother said, she won't be able to pass the training, she is too spoiled to do that."
"Actually, I already had." Tiana approached me from the opposite direction, waving a paper in front of her. "I had already finished the training. Since I am better than you, I had already finished my training within three days. Unlike you who took such a long time." She turned flipped her hair at me. "Don't know why they bothered to send you here when I clearly have the paper of agreement that I am the most deserving one. And also," Tiana lowered her voice. "Don't think that I wouldn't know about your secret. I wonder how much will the media pay if I leaked the images."
I felt Akihiko's palm on my back. "Very well then, I challenge you on the tasks. If you manage better than me, I'll surrender my crown, in public."
Tiana pretended to gasp. "Are you sure? Will you be able to handle the humiliation."
I smirked, "oh yes. I am very sure about it." I reached out and shaked her hand.
