It has been a month since Leticia Hernandez left her hometown and escaped from jail. She packed nothing, considering the vampire nurse, Mariuem and two of The Hexes members, Nick LeBlanc and Amelia Alecsandri helped rush her out of jail. What was her crime again? Oh, right... Leticia was a Supernatural. " A dangerous criminal," they said when that moment was exposed for all the nation to see.
In the waiting area of the train station, she brushes her short, black-dyed hair while sitting to wait for Amelia and her brother, Toby, were getting tickets for the train. Leticia did not know where she was going next. All she knew was that it was not back to her hometown, Clare Point View. While waiting, she watched some news videos on Amelia’s phone, which she could borrow. The only rule was to not log into anything related to her name. In the entertainment news sites, it showed pictures of Chantel, Darren, and her flashing on the screen.
The Outsiders were hunting for them, even some Supernatural authorities were too. So, Leticia has been lying low in the Supernatural city, Downland, since the month she escaped. There was not much she knew about the city, other than it was an anchor town to Rockwick and it had weird-looking vampires. Looking up from the phone, Leticia watched an older, well-dressed vampire with a long, scaly tail walked past her. She remained unnerved by the vampire’s appearance as they never bothered her.
Living in this city for a month with one of Toby's and Amelia’s classmates, Holden, Leticia had to grow accustomed to seeing weird things a little more. Still, she kept up with the news of what happened back home. Pissed about her band’s disbandment and her band's label CEO, Nico Travolo lying his ass off to the news reporters, all Leticia knew was that Nico, Farris, and the entire Rise of Light were on her shit list. They ruined her life and god knows how many more lives they will destroy next?
“Hey! Um.. we got tickets um...Luciana?” Amelia called Leticia by her “new” cover name.
At least Leticia got to choose her new name, rather than having the two mages do it. They also allowed her to choose her own outfits, only on one condition: She would not wear any high heel boots!
When the former guitarist asked, “Why not?”
Amelia responded to her complaints, “Well, it’s a part of your image that will give you away. Do you really want to get caught that quick?!”
With that, no more high heel boots! Oh, she will hate walking around in normal shoes!
Leticia's eyes scanned the ticket when the mage siblings gave it to her. Reading the ticket, it showed the date and time of when the train would be departing. The big thing Leticia noticed was the destination where she would go to: City Square.
“I thought I would go to Melicona?” Leticia asked, watching Amelia and Toby sitting next to her on the bench.
“You are, but City Square is the stopping point. They have no connecting trains to Melicona, but they have a subway. We use that to get to the town, ” Toby explained.
Leticia huffed; she was tired, but it would not be too long to wait for the train to come. While waiting, she looked at Amelia's phone again, browsing through websites again. After twenty minutes, the train finally arrived at the platform where they were. Giving the phone back to Amelia, she gathered all her things together, preparing to get on the train. Before Leticia picked up her brand new bag and got out of her seat, Holden went up to the group, bidding them farewell.
She noticed Holden did not even bother to hang around with them much. The Necromancer mage sat faraway from the group in the waiting area, just reading a book throughout the entire time they were here.
“Well, I guess this will be the last time I will see you. Especially you, high maintenance queen…” Holden’s eyes gave a glance at Leticia, which she rolled her eyes back at him. Then the mage commented, “Honestly, I feel sorry for your boyfriend to have a girlfriend like you.”
“Well, I feel sorry for any guy you invited to your apartment, getting creeped out by your creepy obsession with dead things. Here is some advice: Stop creeping your dates out with that kind of mess,” Leticia smirked when Holden tried to take a dig at her.
This man has been her roommate for over a month. The former guitarist had seen enough of the mage’s odd behavior that she was glad that she did not have to live with him anymore.
“Holden is hopeless in getting dates while I'm hopeful of getting dates!” Toby chuckled, then Holden shot a hard glare at the portal magic mage.
Hearing Amelia giggled at this brief interaction between the two men, Leticia looked up at the train then started walking towards it. Soon the two siblings followed after they finished exchanging goodbyes to Holden. It was finally time to head on the train. One by one, train passengers gave the conductor their tickets, then sat in their seats. Leticia found a seat in the middle and plopped herself in it, while Toby and Amelia sat on opposite sides to her. When all the passengers settled into their seats, Leticia stared at the windows to see Holden waving at the group. Smiling, Leticia returned the wave to him as the train blew its horn to leave the station.
Sitting back in her seat, she watched the scenery change from the hustle and bustle of the Downland Train Station into the outskirts of the suburbs. Leticia did not know whether Melicona would be the best place for her to hide, but it was better than nothing.
