The gods, spirits, and creatures of every culture in modern time have a fairly straight forward agreement with each other over various things.
Every year they meet to discuss re-negotiations with each other over a series of weeks. Problems arise when Apollo and Helios get bored and decide to team up to pull a trick on Ares. Make him fall in love with a Zanni (comedy) spirit. Specifically, Pierrot, the unlucky lover Zanni, and Pierrot with Ares.
To everyone's surprise, Pierrot and Ares actually get along. Unfortunately, it means everyone they know is taking it upon themselves to meddle in their relationship. However, Ares and Pierrot are a bit tired of being the butt of everyone's joke and fight back in their own ways.
