Part 2

(Montage Scene)

Amy and Cream throughout the afternoon were showing Sticks all the wonders of New Hope.  

Their first official stop was the local bakery; where some of the treats Amy bakes in her free time are sold. At first sight of the sweet treats and fresh bakery goods, Sticks tries to sniff it out like she’s trying to check for poison. Sticks reluctantly takes a bite of a yellow and pink cupcake, it was one of the most delightful things she has eaten in years. To the point, she eats the rest of the cupcake including the wrapper in less than a second and grabs a dozen more for herself, and eats ferociously. Amy, Cream, and Cheese look both happy and disgusted at how Sticks is enjoying sweet treats. Amy after saying thanks paid the bakery owner for some cupcakes, for Cream, Cheese, and herself, and for their ones Sticks ate in a flash. Cream and Cheese fly while eating their cupcakes so Sticks won’t try to steal them. 

Later Cream was assigned to buy some gifts for the gang while Sticks and Amy are off to explore more of the town and talk. She bought different things for the group: like Team Sonic Themed Hoodies, dresses, a bow and arrow set (mostly for Sticks), resistance bands and gardening tools (mostly for Amy), an assortment of art kits(mostly herself), and toys for Cheese. When Cream and Cheese got back to them Sticks was talking about all her misadventures in different towns.  How G.U.N robots and agents nearly caught her but using her combat skills and pure instincts managed to beat them and escape. Amy was listening and actively enjoying the story, she was also telling Sticks about all her friends' adventures with Eggman, mentioning her friends' heroism the most. Sticks was impressed by those stories and wanted to spare with those heroes someday. Cream and Cheese decided to not interrupt the conversation and went back to buy more things for them.

The last activity the gang did together in the city was to ride the monorail system throughout the island. Sticks, thinking the train was some kind of mechanical monster, used her boomerang to threaten it, along with any stationed “Egg”  Pawns guarding it. Amy and Cream calm Sticks down by explaining that the train is helpful to the citizens, and it’s just fast traveling, like swinging on vines. Sticks understands the concept now (But still thinks the train is alive) is super excited to see the rest of the island. The train starts to move all throughout Star-Sign traveling around some of the island's great attractions. The beautiful Restoration Beach, the peaceful quiet life of Unity Town, the colorful and bright setting of the Central Chao Garden, and finally Star-Sign’s Capital; Heroes Hall. The prime location of the central new station run by Orbot and Cubot, a docking zone for Resistance planes and cargo,  and most importantly the current main HQ of the Resistance. The sight of the tower brings a sense of pride and nostalgia to Amy and Cream, while it brings a sense of curiosity and wonder to Sticks despite her usual despising these things. This entire island feels more like an active community than any other city she’s ever been to. It makes her feel at home despite how different it is.

Stage 2: Jungle Burrow 

(Scene 2)

After having a wonderful day, the newly formed group of friends were sitting around a campfire. They were in the forest in the mainland close to Star-Sign during the early night. It was a lush tropical forest with loads of animals. Amy was humming peacefully while grabbing marshmallows from a bag, Cream was making s'mores for everyone with chocolate and gram crackers in hand, Cheese was helping by putting the marshmallows on a skewer. Sticks had what looked like a dead mouse on her skewer, along with some of the chocolate they had. 

Cream:  Miss Sticks, that's an ….interesting way of making s’mores. (Cream spouted trying to hide her disgust) 

Cheese: Bleh.   (Cheese was disgusted as well) 

Sticks:  I’m just combining your favorite snacks with some of mine. Mice are delicious treats when my traps can’t catch bigger prey, 2nd to only worms. Also, stop with this “Miss” stuff. I'm only a couple of years older than you. (Sticks replied upfront.) 

Amy:  That’s disgusting…but I love the idea. It’s like mixing the best of worlds. (Amy replied honestly) 

They all started laughing and still having a good time with each other. Amy, Cream, and Cheese eat their s’mores. Sticks eats the chocolate mice whole to the distaste of the rest of the group. After setting off the campfire, In the middle of the forest Sticks shows the gang a large hollow tree trunk, with a door on top. 

Sticks:  And here it is my precious burrow! (Sticks excitedly presents) 

Amy, Cream, and Cheese look at the tree with very curious eyes. 

Cream:  So you live underground there, that’s pretty cool Miss Sticks. (Cream stated impressed) 

Sticks:  Please just call me Sticks, but yeah. All my shiny collection, hunting trophies, bones, seashells, and other knick-knacks I find are stored here. 

Amy:  You carry all this stuff and make a new burrow every time you migrate. How do you manage? (Amy wondered) 

Sticks:  That pouch is much more flexible than you think, and it takes only a day to dig and construct it. For a rabbit and a hedgehog, you two seem in the dark about burrows. (Sticks said honestly) 

Amy: I mean yeah, we live in normal houses so we would never need something like this. Besides, We have a close friend who’s also an amazing digger and prefers nature; so we’re not that in the dark. 

Sticks goes into the burrow and grabs a couple of items from the hoard she had collected over the years. Amy and Cream overheard the noises from Sticks to get the items from up there. Sticks grabbed 3 seashells, one rosy pink, one bright magenta, and one that was light orange. She gave each of them to Amy, Cream, and Cheese as a gift.

Sticks:  I used to give these shells out to old friends of mine, you guys gave me gifts so I returned the favor. (Sticks spoke gratefully) 

Amy:  Ah, that’s super sweet of you Sticks. I’ll cherish it. (Amy responded delightfully)  

Cream:  We may have started on the wrong foot M… Sticks but I’m glad to know that you’re very kind. (Cream responded welcomely.) 

Cheese: CHAO! (Cheese followed by thanking Sticks as well.) 

Amy:  Hey, this is the first time you mentioned your other friends, we would like to visit them if you don’t mind. Wouldn’t that be fun? (Amy suggested to Sticks.) 

Sticks goes silent for a second, her happy expression quickly comes down and she was holding her hands on her chest where her tattoo is. Amy notices her saddened expression. 

Amy:  What’s wrong, you look down? I’m sorry to ask that, It’s okay if you don’t want us to go there. (Amy trying to see what’s up with her.) 

Sticks:  No, it’s just that…..  I don’t know where they are. The village we lived in was destroyed a long time ago. We’ve been split ever since. 

Amy:  Oh my God, I didn’t know. I’m so sorry. (Amy apologized.)

Sticks:  Heck, the reason why I even stayed in Star-Sign for this long was because of how peaceful and happy everyone was. It reminded me of my village. When I was little a group of violent mercenaries robbed and burned it to the ground. After that, I’ve been surviving by myself, and any attempt to find my old friend leads to only dead ends. (Sticks depressively explained.)

Cream:  I’m sure your friends are still out there. We can always help you find them. (Cream is trying her best to cheer Sticks up.) 

Sticks:  You guys shouldn’t concern yourselves with it. It’s been more than 13 years, they’ve probably forgotten about me now (Sigh) I can’t dwell on it forever, I’m fine with the life I’m living now. Besides we just met, I don’t want you to be involved in that stuff.  (Sticks trying to get back into a good mood.) 

Amy:  Just because it happened a long time ago doesn’t mean you can push away any emotions towards it. It’s okay to reflect on it. (Amy explained.) 

Sticks: True but, I have to keep moving forward to survive. I can’t let the bad things in life define me. That's what my great aunt taught me. (Sticks replied honestly.) 

Amy: Yeah, you’re right. (Amy understood what Sticks was saying.)

Amy takes a glance at Cream and starts thinking of something. They were discussing it while exploring the city. Cream and Cheese shake their head yes.

Amy:  Hey, I have an idea. How would you like to stay with us and become a part of the Resistance?

Sticks:  The Resistance? 

Amy:  It’s an organization made to defend and preserve peace and prosperity throughout the world. I co-led it during its creation. You have the heart and the fighting spirit, you’ll fit wonderfully there. (Amy explained.) 

Sticks:  Is it similar to that GUN thing? I’m not planning to be a government agent… Ever. (Sticks replied a little aggressively  .) 

Amy:  We do ally with them sometimes but we’re completely separate and have different ways of doing things. I know you said we shouldn’t worry about you, but we’ll always be there if you need support as our new friend. Star-Sign can be your new home and we can help you find more new friends. And we’ll try our best to reunite with your village friends; I'll make sure of it. So what do you say? (Amy told Sticks full-heartedly.)

However before Sticks was able to respond, her ears twitched, hearing tree branches moving swiftly. Sticks becomes on guard and sniffs out the area. Amy and Cream notice and become more alert. They all summon their weapons, Cream switches one of her bracelets to an arm cannon with Cheese standing beside her. Amy and Sticks in a similar flash of light summon their weapons. Sticks summoned a bandaged wooden spear with markings on them and Amy summoned a giant red metal hammer with gold highlights. (Called the Village Staff and Piko Piko Hammer 3.0) The rustling of the leaves became louder and louder, like the things approaching the girls were coming closer. Or even becoming bigger. They all looked around following the noises. 

???:  These girls' blossoming friendship makes me want to puke; they’re all going to die eventually so why even bother? (The voice coming from the trees stated, so hopelessly and mockingly.) 

???: You tell me, I’ve been itching to scrap with these rodents ever since I got here! (The loud voice screamed from the trees, excitedly waiting for this moment.) 

???:  Come on boys, they're just having a little girls’ night out. Let’s make it their last shall we. (An enticing voice stated out to the others. It was the same voice coming from the green fox. )

Amy: Those voices… (Amy stated on guard)

3 dark figures jumped in the air and landed on trees closest to the girls. One of the figures was a beautiful green woman with long hair, wearing a black chest plate with a faded red snow cone on it. She had 2 black and pink horns, the right one bigger than the other, with spikes all around her shoulders, elbows, and the end of her tail. She looked vain and snobby. The second figure was a small and frail man with a hunched back, his skin was pale as a vampire, with purple hair covering half of his freckled face. He was wearing a black cape with markings of a faded red-eyed bat, a blue owl feather, and a yellow crescent moon. With blue and black horns curving downward and holding a blue rose. He looked utterly depressed and tired. The final figure was a tall and slim magenta sharp teeth monster. He had a punkish look to his attire and hair with a larger chest plate carved up, with a faded red demonic face on it.  He looked insane and battle-hungry; his disgusting blue tongue coming out of his mouth and wretched horns only added to the look. To Sticks, they were evil spirits that she had never seen before, but they were almost recognizable to what their close friends described of them to Amy and Cream.
