Noah and his family continue on the ark.
An interesting problem arises from the Biblical texts: the exact dimensions of Noah's ark are given (in cubits, in the previous chapter), but they appear to be far too small for the cargo it carried. The cubit unit is quite poorly defined, ranging between 44 and 120 centimeters (or 17.5 and 47 inches), so it is possible that the length referred to in these texts is different from what we expect. Alternatively, it is possible that the writers of this story considered only animals that lived in the area that the tale takes place, and not all animals of the world.
Nowadays, it is mostly agreed that the story of Noah's ark and the great flood is based on tale from Mesopotamian mythology, mentioned first in the Sumerian Epic of Ziusudra (from around 1,600 BCE). This may likely be a new telling of the existing legend, rewriting and refitting it to fit better with the morals and lessons conveyed throughout the rest of the Holy texts.
An amateur translator with little-to-no artistic skills attempts to present the entire Bible in comic form. Watch as a slew of identical stick-figures traverse empty backdrops and make lame jokes while Biblical scripture is recited. God help us all.
GENESIS - [currently on hiatus as I try to figure out what the hell I'm doing with my life]
