The summer was over, and it was the beginning of a new season.
On the morning of my first day of college, I was at home eating breakfast when my family started asking me a bunch of questions.
"Sir Grayson, pass me the milk please," I said.
My brother replied, "Here, milady. Have you bought all your books yet? Don't forget to check."
"Yeah, I think I've got everything," I responded.
My mother was flipping pancakes before she headed off for work.
She asked, "Why aren't you starting the week at your dorm? Don't you want to get to know your roommates and settle in?"
"I don't have any roommates. My room is a single person room. Also, I had some stuff to bring from home and I forgot to put it in my room yesterday."
"Say my name, say my name, you know it means I'm single, I'm ready to mingle," Grayson sang his own twisted version of the song.
I curled my fingers across my brother's ear in a teasing manner, and he pretended to be in pain, "Ow, ow!"
My father was working already at the antique shop that he owned. He'd gotten the shop handed down to them from my grandfather. My mom was working there at the antique shop as his cashier and assistant.
"Grayson, drop your sister off before you go for work okay? You are aware that you have your own apartment, are you not? And if you keep coming back home unannounced, I'll assume you're a thief and maybe bock you on the head!" My mother said.
Grayson saluted my mother and he motioned for me to follow him.
"Let's go, Sunny," he told me.
We were in Grayson's car when Grayson brought up the one topic I didn't really want to talk about.
"By the way, you never told me how that party went...you came back pretty early that day," Grayson said.
I stared into the distance, and then I replied, "Uh yeah, it was fun. I got a bit tired, that's why I came home early."
"Ah, fun? How fun?" Grayson glanced at me and then back to the road. We were at a stoplight.
"Like, I kissed a boy fun," I admitted.
"Wait, what?" Grayson almost smashed his hand on the steering wheel but it missed and hit his own lap.
"Who did you kiss? What happened after? Come on, Sunny, you need to tell me these things!" Grayson started the car again as the light turned green.
"I don't know, I mean like we were playing questions and dares, and then this girl Mads who is the twins' cousin dared Blaise to kiss me, and he did. End of story," I replied.
"I'm sure that isn't the end of the story," Grayson whistled.
I replied, "Trust me, it is. I won't be seeing that family again."

Nero and Blaise King were in literally all of my classes.
My first class was Drawing Fundamentals, and they appeared shortly after I sat down. Nero sat in the back and Blaise somewhere in the middle.
I avoided looking at them, but as soon as they entered the room, buzzes and whispers filled the air.
"Isn't that Nero and Blaise King? Oh my god, it totally is!" A girl next to my desk gossiped to her friend.
I was leaving the lecture hall when Nero came up to me, Blaise trailing behind.
"Hey, Sunflower!"
I tried to pick up my pace but he was too fast, even though I was practically running and he was just walking.
Other people were starting to look at us from around the hallway and near the lockers.
"Whoa, slow down there! We just wanted to say hi, and sorry about the whole party game thing, we know our cousin can go a bit overboard sometimes with her antics."
I nodded and I said, "Yeah, it's okay, don't worry about it."
"What's your next class, can we see your schedule?" Nero asked.
"Uh, yeah, sure I guess," I said.
I pulled out my schedule and compared it next to Nero's. My eyes almost dropped out of their sockets when I saw the schedule they had.
It was exactly the same as mine.
I crossed my arms against my chest and I retreated a few steps, asking, "Wait, you guys are majoring in English too? And you're taking fine arts minor classes just like me?"
Nero smiled, something I wasn't very accustomed to seeing with the two twins.
"Yes, we're both doing English. What a coincidence, right?" He said.
"Hmm, yes, I uh, I've got to use the ladies room, excuse me for a second!" I replied.
I hurried to the bathroom, thankful that they most likely would not follow me into there. As I was peeing, I checked my schedule again.
My next class was Introduction to Literature.
How was it possible that the twins would have every class lined up the same as mine? Maybe it was a glitch in the computer system.
I flushed the toilet and I walked out of the cubicle to wash my hands.
Just as I left the bathroom I received a phone call and a text from my dad at the same time.
"Hey, dad, what's up? Aren't you at work right now? Where's mom?" I asked.
My dad spoke, "Sunflower, we've arranged a meeting at the address I've sent you through message. After you finish all your lectures and tutorials, make sure to come there and arrive on time, okay?"
"What? What's going on dad? I don't-" I tried to ask but the line went dead.
I bumped into Blaise when the line went dead, and he was on the phone as well. He held me by the shoulders so that I wouldn't fall. I thanked him and brushed my hand against my shoulder.
Blaise ended the call, and he turned to Nero who was next to him.
"Hey, Uncle Alexander just called. He said to be back home, 5 pm sharp."
I looked down at my phone and my eyes grew as wide as saucers, seeing the address on the text message.
100 Royal Street, The King Mansion.
