"I think you look like him."
The soldier with the gun next to the soldier with the sword, each on different battlefronts, but standing out equally. Everyone admired them, everyone wanted to be like them. They were examples for their country's society despite being psychis. It seemed so unreal.
It wasn't all pretty. They were walking through a swamp full of the corpses of the enemies they had to crush. They were full of regret and frustration.
They wiped the blood from their faces and justified it by saying that it was for a greater purpose. At the same time they wondered if there was anything to justify the death of another person.
The soldier with the gun wanted everyone to accept the psychis in society, even if it meant that they all hated him. The soldier with the sword, on the other hand, sought to eradicate hatred of psychis. Similar goals, but from different points of view, can lead to conflict. They did not see each other as equals, they wanted to stay as far away from each other as possible and when they stopped being soldiers and became heroes, the differences were exposed even more. Not only in the way they thought, but also in the way they acted. While the hero with the sword sought to bring Psychis who had gone astray to their senses, the hero with the gun punished them and tried to plant fear in order to prevent the creation of more criminal Psychis.
The two methods were accepted by two different parts of society, leading to a radicalization of both sectors that exploded with the announcement of the "Dark Reform" bill.
"Does the hero of the sword live inside you?"
