“What brings one such as you to my end of the world?” Alvar asked, curious of the druid in front of her.
“I was informed that Aiyanna of the Four had no guardian.” The druid said with a frown.
“Strange. I’ve stood with Aiyanna since the change.”
The druid’s eyes widened. “You’re the guardian.”
“And this is my land. So be careful where you step.”
Alvar said nothing else as she watched the druid leave with narrowed eyes. Someone had reached the southern boundary.
Aiyanna made her steps easier, running across time instead of just space.
“Why are you here?” she said, startling the person who had entered the forest.
“Uh… erm…” they stuttered. “I was… er… told to come look for… um… someone called Fenna? I was… uh… told to give them something?” they asked more than said.
Alvar let out a sigh. “Would Fenna be a druid with curly black hair?”
“I think? Maybe.”
“He’s not here anymore, kid. Try heading to…” she paused, letting the information come to her. “Sylvania. He’s going that direction.”
“Ah! Thank you!” they almost fell in their attempt to leave Aiyanna.
“What a strange day.” Alvar said to her ever-present companions. “We will have to wait and see what is coming.”
