There was too much Airson didn't know about the world. A Saint's Blessing? He'd never heard of that before. Not even in books, and Airson spent a lot of time in the First Order's Royal Library. He had to defend the queen and her baby from the gods. But he would need help to achieve that goal.
The next day, Airson visited Nigel's home. Nigel lived in the woods in a large log cabin. Despite its looks from the outside, it was a pretty expensive place.
Airson knocked on the wooden door. Nigel answered it shortly.
Like Airson, Nigel aged well over the last three years. He put on some notable muscle, and was several inches taller. He was actually taller than Airson now.
"Hey what's up? It's not everyday you come here you know." Nigel said.
"I need your help."
Nigel invited him inside.
Airson explained the situation without exposing any sensitive information that the queen wouldn't want public. But what Nigel did understand, was that there would be gods coming to the royal capital soon, and Airson needed him there.
Airson later asked Reesus for his help as well. He agreed.
For the next week and a half, Airson was barely home. He spent the majority of his days scouting the capital. Day and night Airson was outside, always on guard in case anything happened. He came home one night at three in the morning, ready to go to sleep. His food was still on the dinner table as it was every night, but he was never home to eat it hot. Out of respect for the people who took the time out of their day to cook the food, Airson still ate it anyway. When he was done, he'd wash his dishes and put them in the sink. He walked to his room to change and go to sleep.
Miraka heard his room door close. She walked towards it. She put her hand out to knock, but hesitated. She instead walked back to her room and quietly closed the door.
Early the next morning Airson was right back outside, making his rounds. He stood atop a tall building scouting the area. Far away, on top of a skyscraper, was a man in a brown shawl, perched on the edge.
Airson jumped towards him. "This energy..." he thought to himself.
He stood next to the man.
"It seems you've gotten stronger than before, almost couldn't tell it was you." the man said.
"Neo... what are you doing in this city?" Airson asked him in a serious tone.
"The Dark Gods will be arriving shortly. I'm waiting for them."
"How do you know about that?" said Airson.
"My master told me they'd be here. So here I am."
Airson was confused. "Why are you doing this? Are you on our side or what?"
"Side? I'm on no one's side. If Nyx is revived the world ends. As simple as that. Besides," Neo's eyes started glowing bright sky blue. "I heard those guys were on a whole different level than humans."
Neo stood up and looked at Airson. "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm still planning on killing you. But not today. Focus on getting even stronger." He then jumped off the building.
Airson looked down after him. He was gone.
Airson remained in his spot for the next hour, looking for signs of danger. As he was watching the far distance, all of a sudden Airson felt a cold shiver travel down his spine.
A person was standing right behind him. He whipped around to see who it was.
A tall man with pitch black skin and the head of a hound stood there. He was dressed in what seemed like ancient garments and accessories that would have been overlooked as cosplay if it wasn't for the overwhelming dark power that was basically flooding the air around them.
It was worse than anything Airson had ever felt. But he recognized this person. He was in many books in the libraries, one of the more widely known gods of the past few thousand years.
"The God of Death... Anubis." Airson said.
"So you know my name."
Reesus called Katie to help evacuate as many civilians as possible.
Nigel himself could feel the presence of another massively dark energy. He saw a muscular man with dark gray skin standing atop a building. It was another god. He looked directly at Nigel.
The man had all black eyes with no other colors showing. He also had long black cornrows that stretched the length of his back, decorated with gold accessories.
The man instantly jumped the distance between the two. He stood about a meter away. "I am the Dark King Anuk. I would rather avoid needless fighting with humans if possible. If you tell me where the queen of this country is, I will spare your life."
Nigel backed up. "And if I say no?"
Anuk started releasing his aura. A black-purple energy enveloped him.
Nigel could tell it was way worse than Z's energy.
"Then I shall slaughter you without fail."
Somewhere else in Arbok City, Neo was sitting down in front of a church, awaiting his opponent.
A man with bright red skin walked up the street towards him. The part of his eyes that's normally supposed to be white was red, and the color of his irises was white. His hair was also white. He didn't look human at all.
"So you're my opponent it seems." Neo said. He stood up, removed his shawl, and started stretching. He was wearing simply a black shirt underneath along with his pants. "You should tell me your name."
The red man grinned. You could see his sharp canine teeth. "Tough guy huh? You tell me yours first."
Neo continued his stretch. "Neo." he said simply.
"Neo... I am Nazo, next in line to become God of the Underworld."
Neo finished his stretch, "Next in line, correct?" He stopped and looked Nazo dead in his eyes. "Meaning you're a god?"
Nazo was still grinning. "Yes, what of it?"
Neo let off a slight smirk. "I see. So today's the day I finally become a God Killer."
