This is not how Shouta wanted to spend his weekend, helping his students who suddenly have a baby. So now here he is on his way to Nezu's office to try and explain the situation.
Once he reached the door he took a deep breath wishing he had at least some coffee to drink or some medicine for the headache he already feels coming in, but unfortunately he just has to go through this until he can take a nap.
Shouta knocks on the door and immediately hears a "Come in" from Nezu.
"Oh! Aizawa, please sit down, what do I owe the pleasure?" Nezu asks, taking a drink from his tea.
Shouts rolls his eyes as he sits down in the chair in front of Nezu’s desk already wanting this over with. "Nothing that's good."
"Well I guess that is for me to find out." Nezu remarks, putting down his tea. Giving Shouta his full attention.
"Problem child number 2 and Kaminari have been in a quirk accident." Shouta watched as Nezu raised an eyebrow for him to be more clear. Shouta sighs trying to figure out how to explain it. "They ran into one of the general education student, well the other way around, and they released their quirk. However, they didn't realize until later, so now they have a child that is about two months old."
"Well that shouldn't be an issue!" Nezu exclaimed, grinning wider than he had ever seen.
"What do you mean?" Shouta knew Nezu was crazy but he didn't know it was this bad, " How is this not an issue?"
Nezu laughed at Shouta’s confusion, clearly thinking Shouta was stupid to even see a problem. After Nezu calmed down he explained, “This would be a great way for them to learn some responsibility, and hopefully some patience.”
Shouta couldn’t believe what he was hearing, teach the responsibility!? Patience!? There are easier ways to teach these things. They should not be taught from having to raise a baby.
“Where would the child even stay!” Shouta said, standing up.
“In the dorms of course!” Nezu said, not bothered by Shouta’s irritation. “Bakugou has a dorm next to him that’s empty that can be turned into a nursery.”
“What about furniture, food, or when Bakugou and Kaminari have school! This is a lot for them to handle!” Shouta shouted at Nezu, trying to show his concerns.
“UA will cover all the costs and while they are at school one of the staff can watch over the baby.” Nezu exclaimed, like it was the most obvious thing ever.
Shouta just sighed and sat back down, “Look, Nezu, I don’t think this is a good idea. We can find a family for the kid and they can live a happy life.” Shouta tried to reason.
“Well, why don’t you tell them to come here and we can talk about it!”
“Sure,” Shouta mumbled as he got his phone out of his pocket. He assumed they would still be in Chiyo’s office so he called her.
The phone rang for a few seconds before it was picked up, “Aizawa? What is it?”
“Chiyo, are Bakugou and Kaminari still there?” Aizawa prayed they would make his job easier. He didn’t feel like going to find them and dealing with the trouble they would most likely get themselves into.
“Yes, they are still here while the baby sleeps.” Chiyo answered.
In the background he could hear muffled shouting and knew Kaminari must have done something. Probably making jokes about the situation.
“Send them to Nezu’s office, and leave the baby with you.” Shouta heard shuffling and muffled voices over the phone. Most likely Chiyo telling them to head to Nezu’s office.
“They are on their way.”
“Thanks, and tell them to be quick.” Shouta said, hanging up. He put his phone back in his pocket.
God, he hopes they would have some sense and give the child to a better family. He believes Bakugou would be up for it, however, he is not sure about Kaminari.
Kaminari can be a wild card and make rash decisions so he is worried he would want to keep the child and end up regretting it or raising the kid being too much for him to handle.
“They will be here soon”
Shouta and Nezu waited for five minutes when there was a knock on the door.
After Nezu told them to come in, Shouta watched as Bakugou and Kaminari walked in. Even though it hasn’t been long since he left them they already look different. Bakugou on one hand looks already exhausted while Kaminari looks better than ever. Clearly both handle the situation differently.
“What did you need us for, Aizawa?” surprisingly Kaminari asked.
“We just need to talk about the situation with the baby. Please take a seat,” Nezu supplied while pointing at the chairs that are by the wall to the left of them.
Bakugou went first and grabbed a chair and moved it to the left of Shouta and sat down. Kaminari quickly followed after and moved his chair to the right of him and sat down.
“Great now that you are here we can get started!”
“Is the baby going to stay?” Kaminari asked, a shine showing in his eyes. Clearly hoping for a certain answer.
“This is actually what I wanted to ask you. I want you to decide.”
“Why the fuck would you even leave the decision to us?” Bakugou questioned, confusion etched on his face.
“Well, I think it would be a great learning experience. However, if you aren’t able to handle it we can give the child to someone more appropriate for the job.” Baiting the boy the best way they know, making it a challenge.
“I could take care of a child just fine!” He said taking the bait right away.
“No one doubts that, Bakugou,” Shouta couldn’t help but roll his eyes, “I just don’t want you to feel like it is too much.”
Bakugou scoffed next to him but stayed silent. On the other hand Kamianri had something to say, “I think it would be cool if we keep him!”
“He?”
“Oh! We forgot to tell you, the baby is a boy.” Kaminari said cheerfully.
Shouta can tell that Kaminari is already getting attached to the kid and will make this situation harder.
“That's great, and what about you Bakugou? Do you want to keep him too?” Nezu asked, giving his full attention to him.
“How the fuck would we even raise the damn kid? ‘Cause I don’t think we have anything for him.” He said, holding his arms over his chest while leaning back in the chair.
“UA would pay for all the expenses like furniture and food.” Shouta decided to butt in.
“Come on Kacchan, do you think I could raise him better than you?” Kaminari teased.
“You know what, fine! I would raise him better than any of you could have. Just watch me!” Bakugou said, standing up from his chair. Making it almost fall over.
“Great! I will have some of the staff buy the furniture and bring it to the room next to yours, Bakugou!” Nezu explained, “For now go get your son and bring him back to the dorms.”
Kaminari stood up with much energy, “Let’s go, Kacchan!” He grabbed Bakugou’s hand and ran out.
“Let go, and stop calling me that!”
Shouta could hear more yelling as the two made their way back to Chiyo’s room. All Shouta wanted to do was go take a nap and never wake up. “I need a raise.”
Shouta listened as Nezu laughed it off and made a new cup of tea.
Shouta knew he was going to be feeling like this a lot more often.
