The Death of the Heroes (Hiatus)

His Nightmares.

His Nightmares.

Aug 14, 2021

He simply stared. Then, callously, his hand grabbed their brittle neck. A cry of unadulterated despondency bellowed. While his expression was unnaturally peaceful, with his hand only damaged slightly.

"Why?! I never wanted this!" They bellowed desperately, writhing with ethereal hastiness. "I'm sorry! I'm-!"

He crushed them unsparingly, as he whispered; monstrously lifeless. "Never ask..." His eyes opened heartlessly "Forgiveness is meaningless."

His appendages removed their grasp slowly, and patiently. He watched the body, as it dropped silently. While his fists were greatly dampened by the liquid- spewing from those listless eyes.

"You are a monster..."

Kloaked rose with hastiness- his pupils widened diminutively, as his face was decently stressed. "No. I can change."

He sighed, permitting himself to detect the seld serenity in the atmosphere.

He clicked into a more languid, and insouciantly-shaped composedness. And he spotted Feriosio excitedly leave. While Vadras strolled behind him.

Slightly exhausted, but highly/constantly alarmed silver eyes peered through a window, observing the humming skies.

Clicking his teeth preparedly, Kloaked sprang from the confines of his mattress.

Kloaked sauntered over to his clothing station. Then, he snatched the uniform away, staggeringly entering the bathroom, exhaling deeply.

Vadras' Experience.

I simply observed Flamma race through the shallow hallways. The corridors lacked the presence of my other school-mates, which, conspicuously, gestured the need for wariness.

"Huh." Flamma mumbled inquisitively, his crimson-irises rambunctiously tracing along the outlines of the sector. "No-body's around."

"One sec. I'm checking." Shutting my eyes, my mana flourished fleetingly, scanning the air, and area, for the existences of my classmates. Unfortunately, it was only us. Slanting my head, I sighed. "Empty."

Flamma hummed quietly, his hands growling with a certain warmth. "Then, we burn everything and learn where they are." His lips snapped upwards, approving of his own plan.

"That would work greatly." I sarcastically concurred, sliding my hands into my pockets, I hung my head skywards, eyeing the bored heavens briefly. "I'm pretty sure scorching the place won't work."

Nonchalantly shrugging to himself, Flamma dispersed his flames unhurriedly. With considerable ebullience, he nodded. "Well, we can miss class." After all. Kingdom-Studies were the starting lesson.

"Where's Kloaked?" I enquired unworriedly, lowering my head attentively. Detecting a presence nearing us with hastiness. I guided my eyes to a roof-top slowly. "He was waking up when we were leaving."

"Sleeping. I'm gonna be burning him when he gets around."

Kloaked leaped from the roof-top I was eyeing skilfully, he disconnected his hands from his knees, and scratched his neck in miniscule irritation. "You and your hobbies..."

I laughed internally, striding by Kloaked and Flamma, mirth embedded into my eyes. "Well, you're always mumbling in your sleep, a nice hobby."

"Oh, screw you." Kloaked complainingly murmured, he glanced upwards. His stare glided into the distance incuriously. "Well, Flamma loves burning anything. While I appreciate a good battle."

"Yesterday, you argued you stood a chance fighting me." Flamma actively explained, his neck heating up warningly. "Wanna compare each-other's skills?"

"Sure."

"Fire: Monster's Breath!"

Kloaked leaped skywards. Expertly, he avoided the flood of flames, latching onto the roof-top, he sprinted along warily.

Then, dropping onto the surface, a barbaric knee nearly slammed into Flamma's abdomen.

"It's morning and this is happening." I exhaled expectantly, the atmosphere distorted briefly until electricity shaped near my side. "I'm normally challenged by him."

"Lightning: Electrocuting Ropes."

The electricity whirled towards Flamma and Kloaked, wrapping itself around them keenly. Kloaked's body appeared slightly unaffected. Well, his Mana Insufficiency, was protecting him always.

"Vadras!" Flamma complainingly bellowed, writhing in his shackles with deep immaturity. "Not these again, seriously?!"

"Careless, breezy." I described casually, snapping my fingers, controlling the thunder to disappear expeditiously. "I evaluate you two, quite highly."

Kloaked massaged his stomach. Currently, he was kneeling until standing up properly. "That was unexpected." He mumbled amusedly, cracking his neck with considerable quietness.

Flamma grinned cheekily. He, then, sardonically, slanted his skull. "Damn, always making us emotional. I'm gonna cry!"

I allowed my eyes to scour the area carefully. Still, no other existences, which was becoming sizably annoying. "We're still the only people near."

"Who cares?" Flamma bounced to his feet hastily, lifting up both of his shoulders, and approached Kloaked, who gave me a look of considerable confusion. "We get to miss school and relax!"

"Is this an exam?" Perhaps the school was sending students into other places, using Dimensional Magic, still; this was a single speculation. "Maybe we need to learn something."

"An exam. Hell no!" Flamma immediately sprinted away, which made Kloaked sigh expectantly. "I'm never taking them again. Nope!"

Observing Flamma hurry away, I snapped my head towards Kloaked, who appeared greatly entertained. "Kloaked your expression when we were leaving."

He hesitated briefly, with a conflicted look writhing on top of his features. "Currently, I'm-"

"Converse with me when you need." I assured calmly, gliding by him, and nearing Flamma's newly approached sector. "I can understand. Sometimes my own attitude is worrying."

I discerned Flamma, and eliminated the distance separating us with an effortless leap. "Something wrong?" I peered towards him inquisitively.

"Yep, check this out now."

My eyes expanded slightly.

Exiting Vadras' Experience.

Flamma stooped his legs- His eyes lowering into the abysmal mass of whirling energy. It glistened unwelcomingly: as if undesiring of any visitors. Lifting up a finger, Flamma suggested ebulliently. "Kloaked. Leap in."

"Hell, no!"

Vadras cracked his neck in preparation, kneeling with a countenance of curiosity. Utilizing his arms, he guided his hand into the portal. It contained a weak, yet deteriorating presence. "I'm going to check."

Staggering to his full stature, the mage strolled inwards, detecting something thrashing to grab his knee. Some form of rope appeared, forcing him into the portal.

Kloaked's lips snapped up challengingly- He coiled his hands into fists, staring onto the circular entrance. "Oi, Flamma. I'm gonna see you later!" Kloaked crashed inside, his existence slowly dispersing.

Diminutive specs of a body snapped into one entity- as Vadras' eyes coerced themselves open. He stared into the distance, unearthly grass scattered along the trail. With blurs of indiscernible items floating in its stratosphere.

His ears leaned into a noise- a humming sound played: almost noiselessly, as Kloaked's impatiently winking silver irises expanded their sights, while he groaningly exhaled. "God, that hurts."

"Agreed." Vadras smoothly concurred, leaning back onto a tree-bark. Its texture was rather rigged, and stiff- comfortable to a specific level. "My shoulder is aching."

Kloaked rolled up his arms, glancing back and forth between different paths of this ethereal dimension. Looking skywards, he smiled aridly. "This is kinda boring."

"Seriously?" Vadras supposed he could understand Kloaked's bland opinion of this separate plane of existence- Still, it was a completely new Earth. "Oh well...Now, who's capable of opening this up?"

Flamma's physical existence skidded into the atomsphere, as his body contoured itself, structuring and acclimating him inside. "Would that be important anyway? This place is sick!"

"Heh." Kloaked's mouth choked mirthfully, as he folded his arms into each-other, an easy-going smile settling onto his face. "You're rambunctious around anything."

Flamma glanced back towards Kloaked- as his crimson-irises scintillated in immaturity. "And, you're stupid around anything."

Vadras sighed in concealed irritation- keeping his features sizably incurious. He lifted a shoulder, peering into the heavens. "I wanna check this place a bit longer. Let's split apart for a while."

"I ain't complaining. Please, help me get away from this annoyance."

Kloaked's Experience.

Slipping my hands into my pockets, and giving Vadras a simple, affirmative look of agreeance, and Flamma an amicably-amused glance, I stooped my knees, leaping upwards.

The air was rather refreshing, comforting me to a certain proportion. Discerning a rugged cliff, with a terrain of complete emptiness, I situated my feet onto it steadily.

Well, it wasn't fully empty- A tree, dissimilar to the one Vadras stayed near to, rested on the surface, all alone. Clasping my hands, I plummeted, seating myself in front of it after.

My mana whistled openly- connecting itself around my fore-arms, increasing my muscle's natural strength into something decently monstrous. I soon became noiseless, until hearing an excited noise.

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

It was a rather noisy laugh- I surmised Flamma was the one creating this non-scary sound. I smiled easily, dispelling my mana, and no longer concentrated.

"The hell you need now?!" I bellowed unseriously- lacking graveness. My hands backpedalled into my pockets again, as I peered heaven-wards. "You wanna make some problems or something?"

My mind alerted me immediately- as I looked up, noticing someone indistinguishable blurring towards me. I whirled to the side, only to be knocked back into the tree-bark, as my shoulder-blade cracked softly.

"Wary? I'm quite disinclined to appreciate careful mages."

Instantly, my eyes shrunk in wide fear. It wasn't a habitual one. No- it was forced upon me. I looked towards the entity, who grinned playfully.

"Mana-Exuding?" I growlingly guessed. A technique granting the user to materialize their uncontaminated feelings whether it be ebullience, or cruelness. "Who the heck are you?"

"No need to bother yourself with this!" They exuberantly cheered, clapping for my attention. He and Flamma would certainly be good buddies if they battled. "Your life is in the Unrevealed's fingers now."

My momentary Hell started. Or kind of started.

Exiting Kloaked's Experience.

Vadras strolled through a lifeless-looking path, impassively engraving the details into his head. Sighing unworriedly, he decided to check on Kloaked, as Flamma, who was nearby, sprinted around the dimension.

"Lightning- Electric-Detection."

Manipulating his detection abilities- combined with his electrical mana. Vadras was capable of feeling presences with a decently faster pace. Slouching his neck, Vadras' eyes scintillated. "Another, unidentified, presence."

"Huh." Vadras nonchalantly mumbled- still hearable enough. "It appears Kloaked's safety was compromised." His posture remained hugely unaffected, despite the chance of Kloaked disappearing.

Flamma's ears perked up inattentively, swaying his hand dismissively- He hung his lips up with deep certainty. "If they're fighting. Kloaked's definitely winning- which kinda sucks."

"We're still going."

Vadras observed as Flamma's form dispelled into the distance, a crimson trail burning along the path. He, himself, sprinted forward with mana increasing his physical abilities.

"Damn. Your nightmares are scary!"

Kloaked's features expressionlessly glistened beneath the amused stare of the entity, whose eyes shimmered for a small second, immersing themselves in his dreams.

"Well, Kloaked. You are secretive. I suppose we all got secrets, eh?"

Silver peered into empty, yet cheerful irises unkindly. Kloaked choked on his raspy breath. "Screw your mana. You bastard..."

"Sorry. Sorry."

"Too bad you aren't crying."

Flamma neared the one, calling themselves Unrevealed, as he aimed an unsparingly-deep kick into them, only for Unrevealed to backpedal, while grinning in elation.

"Kloaked. Are you this weak?" Flamma scrutinized him mockingly- as his fists glistened with warmth, fire erupting into his fingers. Then, he laughed quietly. "I guess you're unable of matching me!"

"Heh, impossible." Kloaked smoothly retorted, extending out the two of his arms comfortlessly. "I never battle you seriously." Cracking his neck, he smiled sardonically.

"I'm sure then." Vadras sarcastically slashed in- walking between his arguing buddies blandly- His stare kept onto the Unrevealed with considerable wariness. "I only want to leave."

"Leave- you shall!" Unrevealed ebulliently assured, snapping his fingers as the dimension dispersed into itself, folding and dispelling. "Goodbye- my students!"

Authenticity itself blurred.

Kloaked's visage was indistinguishable for a fleeting instance, as he hauled himself up- almost carefully: uncertain to his vicinity. He discerned Flamma and Vadras, who appeared to wake up with him- in the same second.

"The hell-" Kloaked hummed achingly below his breath, clicking his arms comfortingly. "Happened? Who was the bastard?"

"I'm not certain." Vadras placed a hand on his leg, while his eyes shut themselves in concentration. He whispered indistinctly to himself, and, with a sigh, stood up properly. "I can't pin-point where his mana is either."

"Still- if we battled him. I would lead, as always."

"Heh, as if!" Flamma challengingly retorted, sliding onto his back- as he sunk into the carpets. "I'm a greater leader, indisputably!"

Kloaked's mouth rasped amusedly- He craned his skull, slouching it considerably. "Well. In my own, superior opinion. I'd lead, but still."

Flamma grinned with brimming cheekiness, pointing at the ceiling with a bored countenance, lifting his legs onto each-other, arid. "Now. We still get to dodge school too!"

Kloaked laughed chokingly- gulping into his own mouth. While Flamma's lips snapped upwards with mirth. Vadras lowered his head- a small amount of laughter echoing inside him inwardly.

Flamma's lips, then, thinned for a minuscule second. "I'm going to escape you- completely." He internally mumbled before ebullience returned to his eyes.

The skies whistled calmingly- as they dimmed for the morning to soon arrive. Kloaked whirled in his bed- with wariness, as he sighed carefully. "I need to learn who he is..."

Kloaked's drowsiness increased, as it enveloped his shape slowly.

Keen eyes looked.
