All the elementals in Alex's room looked at each other and around their room. It was a small black room with a speaker, a one-way mirror, and a door.

A grey-haired boy with blue eyes activated his ability and lunged at Alex. Alex jumped into the air and flipped but the two other kids attacked Alex as well.

He was in mid-air with two kids coming at him so he shot down but the blue-eyed boy was waiting for him and punched him straight in the face and Alex was sent flying right back up where the two other kids were waiting and kicked him while their whole leg from the knee down was encased with fire on the head so hard that he broke through ten stories which were way higher than the staircase and out the building and saw that he was in a city at night and though

"so pretty.." and passed out.

Claire's fight began immediately and she mopped the floor with the first dude who went at her by swiping his leg and delivering the axe kick to his cranium.

Because she asserted dominance with that move, the two boys she was fighting were intimidated so they attacked her together.

The blond boy from earlier pulled his earth sword out of thin air and the brown-haired kid pulled out a staff and the blond boy flipped over Claire and she punched him.

He then fell down but the brown-haired boy hit her square in the chest and she gripped her chest because she couldn't breathe for a moment but the two used that to their advantage and the blond boy sliced one of her arms off from the elbow down and the other boy smacked her on the head with the staff and she lost consciousness.

In Connor's fight, Connor used his ability to cover his whole body and sprinted at a boy with blue hair and leaped into the air and used a move that he calls wind blade on the blue-haired boy and smacked the blue-haired boy on the wall.

He then used his ability to restrain the other twos hands and threw them across the room and gave them a concussion and the door opened.

Mei ran at the other participants and materialised a sword made out of the water and defeated them all in one hit.

The ominous black door opened

Alex woke up in a shabby apartment wearing bandages and on a bed so old that it wobbled and even creaked when he moved his head.

The room was dimly lit but he could make out the figure of a man sitting on a chair watching him, there was also a cupboard that looked that it would fall at any moment.

He tried to sit up but he couldn't, he screamed out in agony.

"Ah,  so you're awake young man, don't try to move, you've got a nasty back injury there, I tried patching you up but all I could do is lessen the pain."

The old man said in annoyed tone, he then sat up and walked into full view of Alex. He was a giant of a man but he was wearing old and worn clothes but the odd thing was that he had an air of grandeur about him.

"Who are you and who am I?"

"You can call me Zaiel."

When Mei walked through the door, she saw Max and Connor and another walked through the door.

When Connor saw that Mei was there, he breathed a sigh of relief but when he turned around he saw neither Claire nor Alex there. He saw that he was in a hallway with white walls and blinding bright light on the ceiling. 

At the end of the corridor, the man with the long flowing white hair was sitting with one leg over the other and wearing a long black cape and a black suit on a black throne and leaning on his right hand while staring at the children while the briefer was standing next to him.

Connor walked towards him and asked them where and he only replied that failures were discarded. Connor got angry and jumped at him but he was shot in the back with a sleep dart. He turned around and saw Mei with fully black eyes holding a gun while pointing at him.

"Connor, wake up, or else you'll be late for school." Said a woman with green eyes and brown hair who was slapping Connor.

"Fine, fine, I'll go to school." he woke up and jumped out of bed, and ran to the toilet where he brushed his teeth.

He then went back to his room and changed into his uniform, ran to the living room and grabbed a water bottle, a piece of toast and swung his rucksack over his back, and ran out the door into a street with identical yellow brick houses with brown tile roofs and sprinted down the road while eating his toast and reached his school which was at the on of the road in 5 minutes and walked into class with crumbs on his face which he quickly wiped off.

The school day went as normal and he left the school he smelt smoke. All the kids who didn't have their parents waiting for them ran towards the smoke.

Connor had a bad feeling so he ran home and saw that his house had burnt down and there were two blackened corpses there and a man with flowing white hair. "CONNOR, WAKE UP BOY."

Connor woke up and looked around, he was in a straitjacket with two men holding him up while the man with white hair was staring at him in the eyes, it was as if he was staring into Connor's soul.

 Connor was struggling but it wasn't working so he used his ability but even that wasn't working Connor's pupils started to become larger and larger until his whole eye was black. The white-haired man asked him to say something and Connor complied.
