14. Changing the subject

I've been rereading the first manga series I ever read as a kid (Fruits Basket). I have most of the volumes at home - I really like the style of the beginning of the series. I tried to summarize the series to a friend and it sounded completely nonsensical :') The premise is pretty silly but the characters are so lovable.
Even though I'm not trying to emulate a typical manga drawing style, it's definitely a big influence on the way I draw comics! I'd say my 3 biggest inspirations for this comic are Scott Pilgrim, My Dragon Girlfriend, and shoujo manga :)
