Quick recap. So, I was late for science class due to having a lesson with my previous teacher Ms. Jones. Right now, I'm currently in science with my teacher Mr. Van Kirk along with my classmates. Did I mention that? Oh well, that doesn't matter. This new girl Erica just said my whole school life before my eyes. Well, almost my entire school life.
"Eh. What, how, how do you know this about me?"
"What do you mean? How do I know? Everyone knows about you, and at least people like us."
"People like us?"
To give you an idea, she most likely refers to The Gifted Program. The Gifted Program is for those kids with unique gifts. In most cases, it just means you're smart. But you can also be good at sports or have a voice to change something in your community. If I'm not correct, now that I think about her name, I feel like I heard it somewhere. Maybe….
"Hey, could you stop doing that? Do you look constipated? Like it's creeping me out. Badly."
"Oh, I'm sorry. So, by any chance, are you talking about the Gifted Program or…."
"What else would I be talking about? Are you as smart as they say? You look clumsy to me."
"Clumsy? No one has ever called me that before."
"Hmm. Well, anyway, my name is Erica. Erica Earhart and I transferred from the Eagle Mountain High School."
Talk about birds of a feather flocking together. Many of them are in the eastern region. I feel like a baby who has yet to learn to fly out of this giant nest. Is it wrong to say I'm not feeling the eggs I had this morning? Well, anyways, Erica Earhart is the third brightest kid in the eastern region.
I'll explain it this way. Every year the schools in the eastern region have an Eastern Evaluation Test (EET). But most have come to know it as The IQ Evaluation Test. Also, everyone is required to take it. It covers everything you've learned in school and will be learning. So, many wealthy parents have their kids study like crazy. I mean, it's hardcore. I've heard a few parents got arrested and caught for trying to buy information on the test. This information or a guide would help them prepare for what's to come for the test. It was a big scandal that happened two years ago. Of course, the media ate it up like candy. Well, as it so happens, out of the whole population in the eastern region, only eight kids manage to get past the one hundred marks. Five ranged from one hundred to one hundred sixty-five.
As for the other three, they all ranged from one hundred ninety to two hundred ninety-five. Yes, my IQ is two hundred ninety-five. You could say I'm one of the most innovative kids on the continent. Not even the other regions got close to that number. This girl, Erica Earhart, I believe her IQ is two hundred ten. I've never met this girl before till now, but I have heard of her name. But who knew she was only a county over from mine? She's from the West End District, and I'm in the East End District. So, you're probably wondering, how am I at the top? Well, I can't cure cancer or major diseases or talk politics. I'm just an average kid that reads and writes a lot. Also, I have perfect memorization. Yep, my gift is I can pick up any book and remember everything about it.
"Excuse, Mr. Van Kirk, is it possible for me to get a new seat?"
Wait, for what? Is this girl serious right now? She is brand new and asking for a new seat. Who does she think she is? I mean, am I that bad of a person? There goes your first crush, Aaron.
"Ms. Earhart, what seems to be the problem?"
For a moment, I held my breath.
"Well, my chair is leaning, and I'm afraid I'll fall."
"Oh my God, I'm saved! Thank you for not embarrassing me in front of the class."
"Alright. We'll see about getting you a different chair for tomorrow. Can you manage for today?"
"Yes, I can. Thank you, Mr. Van Kirk."
EE_… Stop being weird.
[~~~]
HUH?! How the hell does this girl have my number? And why are you telling me to stop being weird? You're a total creep. It is illegal; hacking is illegal.
AW_...How did you get my number? And you're being creepy.
EE_…I got it from your phone while you were in a daze. You should set a passcode on that phone of yours. You leave yourself open while you're in that state of mind. Lol
AW_...Thanks for the tip. SOOO helpful -_-
EE_...So glad I could be helpful :)

So, we ended up texting each other the whole time during class. Here and there, we would glance up to keep up with the lesson. There wasn't much information about Erica, and I didn't tell her anymore about myself. However, she seemed interested in what I'm studying nowadays. Now I'm heading to History class. Science is only my second-period class. The first period is English. When I tried to leave as quickly as possible, Mr. Van Kirk stopped me. He asked me to take Erica to our next class. When I thought I pulled a fast one, that short man got in my way. I felt he was that little boy from Shrek, "do the roar, take her with you." Honestly, I'm not sure if that was a great reference; I need to get a life.
It is strange. I've never walked with anyone to class before, and it's undoubtedly new to me and may take some time to adust.
"So, what's this school like here?"
"What do you mean? It's just like any other school; the people and environment are different. Although if you're talking about in general, I think it's a very nice school."
"You've never had a proper conversation with anyone before, have you? With a girl, to be more specific."
This girl, who is she?!
"If I'm to guess, judging by the body language, you've probably never walked to class with a girl in the hallway. Suppose I were to consider how you were in the classroom. I'd say you are either uncomfortable with new people or have some crush on me. Or it could just be you're a clumsy guy. Although, if it's the second one, I don't mind at all."
My entire rest of high school is most likely ruined! How is she able to pick that up from me? We've only known each other for not even an hour. Wait, let me think here. My gift is remembering things efficiently, such as books, scripts, movies, and everyday conversations I have with someone. Now that I think about it, I remember hearing that one of the top two had a gift of reading people's body language well.
"So, it seems you figured it out, huh?"
"What? What are you talking about?"
"My gift. I'm able to analyze people and their behavior and conclude how they are feeling. I'm able to run complex algorithms to determine the best answer possible. Judging from the way you think all the time. You have something similar, don't you?"
"Ah yes, I guess you could say so. I mean, it's not like a superpower or anything. All eight of us use a larger percentage of our brains. However, we develop differently in certain areas of our brain, and that's most likely why we don't have the same gifts."
"You are smart when you're calm and composed. At first, I thought you were just clumsy and a fraud. Now looking at you, I can tell and feel from your body language. That's how I was able to know you figured me out. Aaron Wheeler, I'm not sure, but I get the feeling we're going to get along. I hope it's the second one. I'll be in your care."
"Likewise."
Hmm, I get the feeling she knows something about me. Does she know about that? No, that's impossible; not even the school knows—only my parents and I know. But I get the feeling I should be careful around her.
"You don't have to worry about me being suspicious of you. I promise I mean no harm. I'm quite a fan, but you are weird. Although, I never expected you to be a virgin considering how popular you are."
How the hell does she know something like that? Hold on a second. I feel like she said something important not once but twice.
