You find yourself at a fair. Behind you there is a table full of food and to your left there is a man savouring a dessert – that seems to be delicious – whilst also carrying a plate fool to the brim. Somehow, he seems quite familiar, almost as if you have known him for a long time already, however, no matter how hard you try, you memory only comes up with even more questions instead of a name.

Looking up at the night sky and trying to think more focused, your mind just becomes distracted by the stars, by how they almost form images. Soon someone grabs your wrist and pulls you towards the dancing crowd, a woman of long, golden hair and a face of unfathomable beauty, a beauty that also seems extremely familiar. The music shifts to a more calm, romantic tone and so you two begin dancing, her beauty perplexes you causing your eyes to lock on her face, noticing this, she asks:

-        What is it?

-        What what is it?

Your question lacks as much intelligence as your expression lacks subtlety  but still, you pretend it made sense.

-        Haha, you are giving me that funny look again.

-        Ah! Sorry... It's just that you're very pret-

Before you can finish your words a strong sensation of déjà-vu hits you, along with images and sounds mixing into a blurry and cacophonous mess that instantly kicks you out of the realms of dreams.

The comforting feeling of joy that once filled you is now replaced by a gelid pain and, upon looking out of the window, the grey sky invites a strong urge to cry.

-        “Why am I having these dreams...?”

-        “W-Who are those people??”

-        “...  Are m-my memories finally returning?”

Questions flood your mind, worsening a headache that you only take notice of now. With a growl louder than a thunder, your stomach retrieves you to reality and so, deciding to get up, your feet shoot out of the bed and then your hands fix your clothes along the away whilst heading to the main hall.

There, having a seat at the bar, you greet Thaís and Jorge:

-        Good morning, good morning.

-        Good morning!

Both respond with a nearly palpable happiness – that is rather odd to come from someone who apparently woke up even earlier – whilst Thaís places a bowl of fruits, a piece of white bread, a “small” dish of meat and a glass of ale in front of you. She then asks:

-        Did you sleep well?

Your response comes in the form of a simple nod ,for your mouth is already too full to talk. After having a big sip of the ale, you inquire, upon noting that Jorge is cleaning a rifle:

-        What's that for?

-        I'm going to help Lord Édouard search for the Beast today.

He responds without the slightest drop of hesitation as if it were nothing to worry about. Almost immediately, the front doors of the tavern open announcing the lord's arrival, along with a rather boy:

-        Bonjour.

He says it in such an indifferent, demotivated way that suggest he is only saying it out of politeness. Whilst coming closer, he sees you and so asks:

-        Are you better today?

Once again, your response is a mere nod due to your mouth being – once more – too full for you to talk. He then proceeds to introduce the boy:

-        Orion, this is Sigmundo. Sigmundo, this is Orion.

-        H-Hi.

-        Hi.

Shaking his hand, you note how the boy seems to look over your shoulder instead of your face, notably avoiding eye contact. He appears to be about seventeen years old, of slender build and has an accent even more cryptic than all the others you have heard thus far. Lord Édouard then continues:

- Me, him and Jorge are going to hunt today. Thaís will show the vil-.

- Não, não, não...

Thaís interrupts him in a manner that would be impolite had everyone not present the distractingly surprised expressions as you and the others do now, that is, except for the Lord Édouard – who maintains the same indifferent and grim look, except for a slightly raised eyebrow now –.

-        Don't think that just because I'm a woman, all I'm good for is cooking and looking after people. Sigmundo could show the village instead. After all, he's still so young to hunt a horror like the Beast.

She then crosses her arms and looks at the lord with a serious expression, waiting for an apology. With a hint – but not quite an expression yet – of surprise on his face, Lord Édouard proceeds:

-        Do you have any experience with weapons or hunting?

As the lord's words leave his mouth, Jorge turns his face away almost chocking on a laugh that he holds in to not be impolite as Thaís grabs from beneath the bar counter an – apparently custom made – sniper rifle and puts it in display on the bar’s top, announcing proudly:

-        Back at home, I used to be the national champion of sportive shooting, having won the local championship four times in a row.

Lord Édouard looks at Jorge almost as if he does not believe Thaís' words but his – minute, almost imperceptible – surprise indicates that it is more as if he is asking why was he not informed of this before. Jorge adds, still recovering from the laugh:

-        Meio que it's hard to argue with her when she sets her mind on something...

-        Ha! We meet in front of the main gates in five minutes alors.

His eyes gain a light tone of amusement as his expression presents a hint of relief. Not interest in wasting any more time, he immediately proceeds to the exit without another word.

Sigmundo looks at everyone, confused as to what to do, soon prompting Thaís to put her rifle aside and ask him:

-        Have you had breakfast already, Sigmundo?

He slowly shakes his head side to side, still presenting – now, an even more – confused expression. Thaís then proceeds to wash her hands and start preparing him the same breakfast she made for you but minus the ale.

Moments after, when she and Jorge are about to leave, she makes you and Sigmundo a small request, which prompts Jorge to make the same expression as one would do upon discovering the meaning of something they saw or heard earlier:

-        A! One last thing... Maebh agreed to look after the tavern until we return but she hasn't come yet. So… Could you two wait for her before leaving for the tour? She must be on her way already.

You agree unanimously and so they leave wishing the two of you a good tour, immediately heading out chatting excitedly.

The "Haunted" Theatre has the deep pleasure to invite you to a new memorable spectacle: The Symphonic orchestra Tragédie presents "Predator".
Come immerse yourselves into a composition of the finest horror and mystery, spanning four separate movements (Largo; Larghetto; Andante and Prestissimo).
Be moved by the deep and amnesiac tones of regret reverberated by the protagonist Orion, manning our percussion instruments at centre stage. Feel homesick and lovesick by the melancholically layered strings played by the supporting cast and fear the screeches and roars of our menacing brass section, led by the ever troubling antagonist: "Beast".
For those who may have missed our previous presentations, do not be dissuaded! For this story of truly unprecedented scope and impact does not require any previous knowledge of our répertoire, we eagerly welcome all that seek to have their eyes wet and humbly hope that you enjoy our performance.
