Today couldn't get worse for our dear Oswald and by today I mean three years ago.
"Oh man, oh man, oh man! Aren't you excited, Face? Your first villainy!" Edward said as he helped button up Two Face's black shirt, but it was obvious that Two Face didn't like the shirt. "I don't know, this doesn't look well..." Face said and looked at himself in the mirror. Ed looked at himself, he was wearing a green suit which was complete with a purple tie and a bowler hat. "Nonsense! You look fantastic!" he said to his friend.
At the other part of town, you could hear loud swearing in an apartment room. "Son of a! Damn it!" Oswald swore and he rubbed his left foot. He had swung his foot straight into a corner by accident. After a few seconds, he stood up and made his way to the kitchen. He poured himself a cup of coffee, which he spilled the last bits over his formal outfit. He was supposed to go to his job meeting. He was running late already.
Oswald sighed and wore his coat after he finished drinking his coffee. He left his apartment building and got into his car. And guess what, like any old car, it didn't quite start on the first try. "Come on, come on!" he growled, turning the keys to one side, then another. Finally, the engine roared and Oswald was now driving his car through the neighborhood. "Oh hell, I need milk..." he said to himself and turned left to a supermarket's parking lot. Parking his car, he got out and went inside.
Milk, milk, milk... There it is! Oswald yoinked it out of the fridge and went to the cashier station, where he saw an old lady with a full cart of groceries. He rolled his eyes and decided to prepare his payment method beforehand. He would be paying with his card, where he hopefully had some money.
Bang!!
Everyone froze in their places, except for two people. Or should I say three? "Nobody move or we'll end your lives!!" Face shouted and aimed at the cashier. The cashier immediately pressed a little red button under the station and raised his arms in the air. "Now be a dear and empty the register." Eddie, aka The Riddler, said to the man, "And be quick!" Face added.
Oswald was frozen in his place while the old lady was on the floor, probably fainted. He had to escape somehow. Oswald had seen The Riddler before on TV, but the second guy was new. Face's scars scared Oswald to the core. Suddenly, he began to hear sirens in the distance.
"Riddler, the cops are here." Face said as The Riddler put the cash in a suitcase. "Shit! We need to get out!" The Riddler said and turned to Oswald, "You! You have a car, right?" Oswald nodded, to which The Riddler smiled. "Perfect, you will drive us out of here! Two-Face?" he searched for Face, only to find him opening a bag of flour and smearing on the right side of his clothes. "That's better..." Face muttered. The Riddler pulled Oswald closed and held a gun against his back. "Two Face! We have to get out!" The Riddler called for his friend.
The trio left the supermarket and got into Oswald's car. Oswald made the engine work again and they drove off. The siren sound was getting louder, so Face looked behind to see one Gotham City Police car behind them. "Hey, drive faster damn it!!" Face yelled at Oswald. Our little man was on the verge of tears. "I can't, I can't! My car isn't-!", The Riddler grabbed the wheel from Oswald, "Shut up! Change of places, go go!!" he yelled. Oswald quickly changed places with The Riddler and put on his seatbelt. The Riddler, let's call him Ed now, turned on the radio. "Bubblegum Bitch!! My favorite!" he said and stepped on the gas.
The sirens were getting louder and louder. Soon, about four cars were chasing them. But Ed wasn't slowing even for a second. Every road they took seemed to be filled with policemen and their damn cars. They went up, down, left and right, but couldn't escape them. Until...
"I see an escape!!" Ed said and began to go up. "Wait no no no!! The bridge isn't complete!!" Oswald yelled and closed his eyes with his hands. "Then pray that we make it, little man." Face said in his cold, monotone tone. "Oh Jesus Christ..." Oswald said and curled up into a ball in his seat. They were getting closer and closer to the end, but Ed didn't slow down.
Three! Two! One!!
The car flew into the air. Time seemed to slow down for the trio. Their bodies went up in the car. Oswald was praying, Ed had a full smile on his face and Face was holding the suitcase, looking like a statue.
The wheels hit the road, making the car go right and left until Ed took control of the vehicle. "Woo! Yeah baby!!" Ed cheered as they drove. "Welcome to the team, little guy." Face said and pat Oswald's shoulder. Oswald fainted with his touch.
