Beauty is subjective,

yet vanity demands we look beautiful to everyone 

Or at least the ones we’re most attracted to.  

You Poke, prod, and pick but none of these actions will help you achieve the unattainable perfection you desire.

More makeup, is that the answer? Or maybe surgery, that’ll help right?

Perhaps you were never meant to be beautiful like The Others.

The Others, their glowing skin taunting you as you walk by, a new partner hanging on their arm as they talk to another beautiful person.

How do they hold the secrets of beauty? when you, the one who works so hard for it, has nothing but imagination.

Sometimes it feels like the end of the world doesn't it?

You HAVE TO be beautiful, you'll die if you don’t get there soon.

So as you wax, and alter, and try again and again. 

Reaching for that unattainable goal 

Juet remember 

beauty is subjective

and true beauty

that comes from within.
