Moonlight
I got into the room and opened my wardrobe to take out the outfit I wanted to wear.
I took out a grey high waist jeans and a mint coloured crop top and laid them on the bed so that I could take off my clothes.
Just when I started to pull my shirt off, Josh appeared infront of me.
I was left frozen for a while until Josh studied me up and down, resting his eyes on my bare stomach, which I didn't realize I was exposing until he said, "I love the sight of that."
I quickly covered my belly and picked whatever I could get hold of and threw at his direction. Only to see it flow through him like there was nothing. I am sure I was blushing furiously by now.
"Get out!" I screamed and all he did was smirk before disappearing.
I was really annoyed at him but embarrassed at the same time. So I sat down on my bed for a while putting my hands on my warm cheeks and when I could finally breathe properly, I got up to pick up the shirt from the floor. I knew I had no time to waste.
This time, as I was about to take off my clothes, I looked around to see if Josh was there. He was so going to pay for bulging in my room like this.
It wasn't really easy to have a ghost in the house like I thought. Especially when a ghost is handsome and has his mind in the gutter.
After I got dressed, I put on some sunscreen and pressed powder. I was happy that my skin was behaving well for some time as usually I would suffer from pimples and all the nasty problems. I applied some mascara and was ready to go after applying some lipstick.
I opened the door and saw Josh waiting outside my room.
"Hey stranger, can't you knock?" I asked angrily.
He looked at me with and funny expression and replied, "Like this?"
He gestured to knock but his hand passed through the door.
Right. I forgot he was dead so I just stood there without being able to say anything.
He chuckled and started walking towards the main door. All I could do was follow him.
He stopped as we reached the door and said, "I would have opened the door for you like the gentleman I was but unfortunately that's not possible so..." He slightly bent forward and gestured his hand towards the door for me to open. All I could do was roll my eyes and close the door as soon as I got out without waiting for him to come out. He didn't need it to be open to come out anyway
I was walking towards the bus stop when Josh from the back of me said, "Why so serious?" imitating the Joker.
I slightly jumped as the weird voice he made scared me.
I turned around and yelled, "Will you stop annoying me please!"
Josh laughed and put his hands to surrender as he was trying his best to balance from too much laughter. He sure enjoys annoying me.
"You seriously got to stop annoying me if you want me to help you." I warned Josh who was still finding it difficult to stop laughing.
I let out a defeated sigh as there was nothing I could do about him. Only if he had a body, I could have kicked his D.
We finally reached the nearest bus station after about twenty minutes of his annoying talks. We got inside the bus and took the seats, side to side.
The people started pouring in and one chubby old man came came to sit next to me not knowing that Josh was seated there.
He simply sat on or more like "in" Josh which he didn't know. When I looked at Josh he had that weird and "What the hell" expression on his face. Well, that's called karma I guess.
I burst out laughing making several people look at me weirdly. The man near me jerked a little too, I guess my loud laugh scared him. I quickly took out my phone and pretended like I was looking at something funny.
The bus finally stopped near the museum after few minutes. We got outside and were standing infront of a aristocratic building.
We entered inside and I felt lucky to see only about three people in the museum. Otherwise, we would have had to wait a long time and I hate standing in the cue for long especially with the people I don't know.
It was finally our turn or more like my turn to go through the book. I checked the content and looked for anything related with spirit.
The book was so thick and each chapter contained so many pages that I was so bored trying to look for something related with Josh's case.
Finally something in the book managed to catch my eyes. It was titled, "The Marie sisters".
It was written that, whoever decided to worship to them had to stick the name Marie to his or her original name first. People usually worshipped to them and even performed a special ritual in order to become immortal. They would always remain eighteen years for their entire life with so much wealth and power.
It was also written that someone does not need to be necessarily eighteen to perform the ritual. The person can be of any age.
I got chills when I saw how the ritual was performed. It required sacrifice and the person who wanted to worship to the Marie sisters needed to kill three people in order to complete the ritual.
My heart started beating rapidly when I read the next few lines.
After the sacrifice has been made and the ritual has been performed, the body has to be kept hidden somewhere as the soul could stay alive for a month. The soul should not be able to find the body within a month or the person who has been sacrificed will come back to normal.
That's it! That must be Josh's case. I excitedly looked at Josh, only to find that he wasn't there anymore. I looked around and found him nowhere in sight.
Where he hell did that idiot go?
As my eyes continued to search for Josh, I heard someone say, "Excuse me miss."
I looked to see who it was and saw an elegant looking woman dressed in a pencil skirt and a blazer jacket.
"You have been here for almost an hour now. We don't allow people to stay in the museum for more than an hour. Your time's up." She informed me politely.
"Alright.. I will leave." I said giving her a smile.
After that she left somewhere else and I turned the page for the one last time and saw some kind of mantras written on it.
I had no idea what it was about and I knew I wouldn't be able to memorise them in a minute so I decided to take a pic of the page secretly.
I took the picture and turned the page one more time to see if there were more important stuffs and found out there were.
The title said "Help" and I guess it was the information about the previous mantras. There for few more mantras with more information written along with it.
Just when I was about to take another few pictures, my phone rang loudly.
I cursed angrily.
"Hey, miss! Did you just take a picture? That's not allowed!" A man shouted from the distance.
"I didn't... I am sorry!" After saying that I ran as fast as I could and got out of the museum.
I just hope to not end up in a jail. Where the hell was Josh?
