“Oh my god, that was close. If he hadn't moved when he did, I might've done something I'd regret later” I thought starting to panic as I heard Conner turn on the shower.

“Why do I react like that to everything he does? And why do I feel this almost irresistible urge to kiss him?” I thought as I paced in his room. As I was mid thought a knock sounded on the door. Waiting for a few seconds too long, the person outside said “Madox, it's me Liah” telling me it was safe to open the door.

“Hey Liah, sorry I wasn't sure Conner would want me opening the door but I'm sure it's fine since it's you” I said with a smile.

“Well yeah, if it's me or one of his family then go ahead and open it if he can't” she said as she came in and sat on his bed watching me. Closing the door behind her, she asked “what's up Madox? You look like you were just panicking about something.” Checking to make sure I could still hear the shower was running, I lowered my voice and said “I think I have a crush on Conner and it's bad. Not only because he's my trainer but because he apparently likes teasing me in such a way that might seem innocent to anyone else but sounds like he's trying to turn me on to me. It's messing with my head. Oh shit, please don't tell him any of that” not looking at her and covering my face at the end. After a moment, she burst out laughing, then said “don't worry I won't. Also, he may be doing it on purposed to see how you react.”

“What do you mean?” I asked confused.

“I never said this but I think he likes you or at the very least he finds you interesting. Also, he may be doing it to learn your triggers before he actually starts training you since that's part of knowing the best way to teach you so it'll stick” she said as the shower turned off.

“Oh, I guess that makes sense” I said not worrying about him hearing that part since it was a vague answer.
