“Charlie, I swear to god. If you fall from there, I am NOT going to catch you!” says Erik.
Charlie is climbing up a window pillar. He stands on the letter ‘M’ of the name of the Auberg, Morina.
Erik is watching from the balcony floor. He’s sitting with his legs crossed with his elbow placed on his thigh. His face rests on his hand.
Erik calls out Charlie and laughs at that. He takes out his phone and starts making a video.
The wind speeds up as Charlie stands high up from the ground, the air getting chillier. Charlie takes off his coat and spins it around in the air. He then let’s go off the coat, making it fly away. Charlie calls out Erik’s name loudly.
“HEY ERIK!” shouts Charlie.
“YEAHH?!” Erik shouts back.
“IF I THROW MYSELF FROM HERE AT YOU, WILL YOU CATCH MEEE??!” Charlie yells.
“UHHH- I MEAN YEAA BUT WOULDN’T IT BE BETTER IF YOU DON’T DO THAT?” suggests Erik.
Charlie stomps on something making him slip down.
“I mean yeahh..but you know I just wannAHHHHHH!” freaks out Charlie as Charlie slips and starts to fall.
Erik slightly throws his phone away with a sigh and catches Charlie.
As Erik catches Charlie, they both fall down suddenly since the floor is slippery.
Charlie stomps on something making him slip down.
“Argh, Charlie! You’re heavy,” exclaims Erik while in pain.
“Sorry, but I can’t move. I hit my foot,” says Charlie.
Charlie opens eyes and looks at the box that fell with him.
Charlie calls Erik and they stand. They pick up the box and open it. There are some packets inside.
“Hey…look up. There’s one more up there. Climb up and check it out,” says Charlie mysteriously.
“Seriously? What if I fall?” says Erik.
“I don’t care. Climb. Now,” orders Charlie.
Erik climbs up, panting. When he makes it to the top, he starts dancing. Charlie looks at him like he’s an idiot.
“You know, that’s almost transparent. People down there will get terrified,” says Charlie.
“Yeah, yeah whatever, but don’t you think I look good? Should I take off mah clothes?” says Erik humorously.
“You’re gonna become a popsicle! It’s 20°C and rain’s ‘bout to fall!” says Charlie a little angrily.
“Then why are we here when it’s about to rain?” asks Erik.
“I don’t know about you, but I love the scent that comes when it rains,” says Charlie all relaxed.
“Hmm..I see, and oh hey! I found what you slipped off of,” says Erik happily.
“Ooh! What is it?” asks Charlie curiously.
“I don’t really know…it has a plastic seal on it. Should we ask Uncle Akio?” suggests Erik while exploring the box.
“Hmm ok, we’ll ask dad. Now come back down. It’s gonna rain heavily soon!” says Charlie.
“Want me to throw myself at you?” says Erik.
“Want me to throw you off the balcony?” says Charlie.
“No wait- sorry!”
Charlie facepalms, what sin did I do in my past life to meet him. Goodness.
Erik comes back down and shows the box to Charlie.
“Ehh..my shoes got dirty because of you.” Says Erik with a little bit of disgust.
“Bleh” says Charlie sardonically.
Charlie takes both boxes and walks quickly.
A few people are watching Charlie as he is not wearing his coat and his tie is loosely knotted.
They are offered some drinks. Charlie quickly picks up a glass of wine and drinks it all causing him to get a bit dizzy.
Erik picks the wine for himself as the waiter from earlier didn’t come with his martini, and water for Charlie.
Charlie and Erik look around and spot Mr. Akio, Charlie’s father. They call him out multiple times, but Akio can’t hear them.
They walk up to him without wasting any second, but since it’s time to dance, Charlie and Erik are pulled by a few girls to dance with them.
The boxes fall out of Charlie’s hands and are moved around in circles by people’s feet.
It hits the foot of a person. They pick it up and looks at it curiously, then smiling and taking the box with them.
Charlie crawls out of the crowd making him dizzier, but he ignores it. Once he’s out, he runs after the man quickly but too late. The man already took his car out.
Charlie screams in frustration. Erik comes out from the behind.
“Where is that man? Who was he??” asks Erik.
“How would I know?! I just know that ‘Da’ invited him here. And you know…Dad doesn’t share his guests’ names. Neither does Aunt Alya, says Charlie as he pants.
“Ok…first calm down, and drink water. You drank too much alcohol tonight,” says Erik, concerned.
Erik gives Charlie a bottle of cold water. Charlie drinks it quickly. His face is all red, and he crushes the bottle on the ground out of frustration.
“Sheesh!! Calm down. Why are you so frustrated?” asks Erik.
“Seriously? Those boxes and those packets were obviously so mysterious! And they were hidden. We didn’t tell the decorators to put them up there. We don’t know who that person is! We lost the boxes; dad could have known what that was!” says Charlie
“Calm down. I kept a few packets to myself,” says Erik as he takes out the packets.
Charlie’s surprised at Erik’s relaxed composure.
He suddenly jumps, hugs Erik, and shouts “YESSS!”
“Wow, so much happiness. Dang,” says Erik with a big smirk.
“Oh shush! You do not know how relieved I am!!” says Charlie all relaxed and happy.
“Actually, I do but whatever. Good to know that you’re feeling better,” says Erik all relaxed too.
“Anyways…let’s go back in and show Da what these are,” says Charlie.
“Ok!” follows Erik.
Erik is still holding Charlie on his back as they walk inside in relief.
