As she snapped back to reality, she heard her phone buzz in her pocket "I gotta mute this thing" she muttered under her breath as she readjusted herself and took out her phone, probably expecting a text from Sofi that she got home safe or just... Well something else, she wasn't all that much of an avid texter.
"No. Come on. Nooooo fuck this." she stammered out under her breath, in both shock and confusion as she held her phone tightly in both hands, trying to calm herself as her veins tensed up.
"Godamn you... I swear to God." she groaned out, hitting her head softly on the wheel as she tried to stop the car from honking, which... Well, didn't work. Much to her dismay
"Universe, why the fuck you doing this to me?" she whined out, rolling her eyes "Seems like y'all are just out to get me." she said aloud, trying to decide on what to do as she cracked a tired smile and letting out a little laugh.
She calmed herself after a little while, opening her phone and re-reading the message, unsure of what to type.
"Come by the nightclub, I got something to show you"
She repeated Scarlett's text like a whisper, a forgotten memory that played in the back of her mind as she reasoned with herself on what exactly she should do.
"Should I go? I mean I might as well..." one side argued, what was the worst that could happen? "Don't fucking go, she's gonna like... Uh.." the other side argued, lacking any actual bad thing she'd end up doing.
She took a moment of hesitation, trying to decide if it was a good idea or not.
"Fuck it. I got nothing else to do anyway." she muttered impatiently and texted back, not bothering to give a seconds thought on whether it would've been a good idea or not, probably wasn't, but did she really have anything to lose?
Well, in this situation not really, considering that Scarlett probably didn't have any interest in Sofi or her college and work life. Although, that certainly could prove to be false later on.
"I'll be there, you're lucky I got nothing else to do you bitch." she texted back, a smirk lying on her face as she waited in despair for a message
Despair as in the bad type, if anything she wanted to block her and never get a message from her again, but that... Well, that wouldn't end up working out.
"See you there :)"
She read over the message, a little upset that it was so short
"Serisously? No insult? Godamn she won't even try and get rilled up..." she muttered under her breath, looking over the message to see if there was anything else she'd type, anything at all.
Nothing.
She put the phone down and turned on the car, heading back home as she tried to push the whole topic behind her, unsuccessfully that is, seeing as in doing that it because quite literally the only thing she ended up thinking about.
She got back home and got out the grocery bags, she headed upstairs with a wave to Mr. Beijing, the elevator was a fairly short ride and once she got up she headed on organizing everything, took her a little but she got it out of the way in fairly short notice.
She checked over the time on her phone
19:14
She shrugged, she had plenty of time, the night was young after all. She looked over her narrow kitchen window, looking at the shadows that had engulfed the night sky, a dark taint of orange was left, fighting against the battles of fur darkness.
In the end, it would dissappear into the twilight. A miracle for all, for the night was a thing of beauty, the most perfect of them all. For the only crack in the night sky, were the tears and dreams, both granted and shed by the moon that would shine it's light onto... Well, everything.
Oddly poetic if anything, the sun died and the moon would rise from it's ashes, like a Phoenix, burning brighter than it ever had.
"Yeah I'm not going out like this." she laughed, looking at the mirror in her bathroom. She was of course, looking beautiful and stylish as always, but not necessarily the most fit for a nightclub full of bikers and quite a few people.
Sure, she didn't want Scarlett to actually ever see anything pretty, but she was gonna spite her to the point that she'd be jealous of such sheer beauty. Well at least in terms of fashion and style.
Spite, a wonder for the soul.
She went over to her closest and picked out an outfit "Definitely not a suit, uh... Maybe the leather jacket, I'll just put it on the bed... Uh, um..." she said thought aloud as she searched through the closet trying to find something to wear, she, well didn't have exactly a lack of clothes, however they arguably weren't exactly fit for a night club. The flannel and hoodies were nice, not very fashionable however.
Well, debatable, she did have her moments with one of her hoodies, karaoke nights back in freshman year were somewhat casual and didn't require any actual thought to be put into them.
However she did need something that at least smelled nice.
"Oo yess, this is nice." she whistled, taking out a golden black lace top and eyeing it's beauty in whole, laying it on the bed as she took out a pair of black ripped jeans.
"I'll get the jacket later." she thought to herself and went over to her bathroom, turning on the lights as she took out her make-up bag, she wanted to look pretty too.
She didn't wanna overdo it either way, and carefully applied some dark red marroon lipstick that made her lips glow, along with some eyeliner and eye shadow to spice things up. Nothing too special, just a little necessary for a night out.
Well hopefully, if it turns out she was going to a wedding, she would be a little underdressed, well maybe she could catch the attention of the bridesmaid then it would've worked out all nicely.
She closed her bathroom her lights and searched her jacket for a coat, in the end, she took out a black leather one she took from a box in the middle of the street a year ago, it wasn't anything too fancy but it sure as hell looked nice.
