I was fine with the endings, though that may be because I found my catharsis in reading copious amounts of fanfiction and have never been overly bothered by whether something is 'Canon' or not, just that it's well written.
Either that, or I'm a pretentious, snooty little jackass that likes to smug on people who were pissed about the endings.
