If I knew that he was listening to me I would have stopped playing and singing. I was feeling confused and down about how my life is now. it did change a lot in a short time and I don’t feel like I took it all in yet.

Of course I don’t regret my choices because it made my family happy and that all what matters to me. I can think of something to help myself go through it. feeling this burden is the reason why I felt like I need to play the piano today and forget about everything for a little.

Hayden smiled at me. “Hayden no offers for Angel” Dominic said. Of course he didn’t like that. maybe this change will help me and annoy him at the same time. “what is the offer Hayden?” I asked him.

I have only met him once before if I’m not mistaken and it was in that club that Dominic went to. I almost shuddered at the memory. At least now I can really see him clearly. He was tall like Dominic and he had black hair and hazel eyes. He wasn’t bad looking at all in fact he was hotter than Dominic. Well anyone can be hotter than Dominic because he is Dominic.

“I want you to sing in one of my songs maybe play too and we can see if there will be more or no” Hayden said and I was surprised at what he said. That was his offer? He wants me to sing with him? “fuck no he won’t do that Hayden you can’t just offer things without my agreement.. I knew I shouldn’t have given you a lot of power in your contract” Dominic groaned looking pissed off.

Why doesn’t he want me to do that? does he think I’m bad or that I won’t make any profit for him? I don’t think I’m good but I’m not bad either. I frowned. “I’m not sure if I can do that” I said softly and Hayden whined. “why not? I think we can make beautiful things together and you will be surprised of how much you can accomplish with a talent like yours” Hayden said and I blushed.

“I know he won’t do it” Dominic said then chuckled. “he doesn’t know how to enjoy his time how can he entertain someone else” Dominic said scoffing and I clenched my jaw. He was an asshole.

Hyden tsked at him and turned his head to look back at Dominic. “Dom can you shut u..” he was trying to defend me so I grabbed his face and turned it gently so he can look at me. “I will do it.. if you believe that I can do it then I will try my best not to disappoint you” I said and he smiled widely.

“good choice.. we can start tomorrow so come to the company and we can discuss everything.. things will be as you want them so you feel comfortable” he said and I heard a groan. I looked at Dominic and shit it looked like he wanted to smash something.

All of a sudden I felt excited about tomorrow. “thank you thank you for your offer” I said and I hugged him tightly. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer making me straddle his thigh.

I pulled away. “I won’t fix any problem or any of his mistakes” Dominic said and Hayden stood up and smiled at Dominic. “I knew you won’t waste a talent like that.. and you love me too much to say no to me” Hayden said and patted Dominic on the back.

Dominic smiled a little at his friend but his smile turn into a disgusted look when Hayden licked his cheek. I giggled at them and Dominic looked at me making me blush. “I’m going to eat all your food” Hayden said as he rushed outside the room.

I got up and stood in front of Dominic. “thank you for the opportunity.. I will try my best” I said smiling up at him. “as if that would be enough and because of Hayden’s contract I am forced to accept this” he said and I frowned at him before stamping away from him.

I didn’t talk to either of them the rest of the day. All what matter is that I have something new to try and that made me feel better about my situation.

The next day I woke up a little late. I know that Dominic already left for his work so I can take my time to get ready. I want to look my best for today’s meeting and everyone in the company will see me and as the owner’s fiancé I need to be on my best behavior.

After taking a shower I looked through all my suites and sighed. should I wear something so formal? I hummed and thought about calling one of my friends to help me. I heard a sound from outside the room and I bit my lips.

I grabbed a black suit and put it on. I walked out of the room and saw a guy cleaning the living room. it was the same guy who I smiled at when I got here. “hey I need your opinion on something” I said as another worker walked in from the kitchen.

They both looked at me surprised. “both of you tell me how do I look?” I asked them and they looked at each other. “you look very good sir” one of them said and the other nodded. “call me Angel and no need to be worried I need you to be honest I have an important meeting at Dominic’s company and I need to look my best” I said blushing and they smiled. “I’m Adam and he is Vincent” the guy closest to me said and I smiled at them.

“good to know and don’t worry I’m not Dominic so you can be more relaxed around me so sit down” I said and they sat on the couch. “you do look good but black is basic” Vincent said and I hummed. “stay I will change fast” I said and walked back to my room.

I grabbed a dark green suit and changed to it. it did look better on me. I walked back to the living room and Adam whistled at me. “that’s it” Vincent said and I smiled. “thank you guys” I said blushing and walked back.

After fixing my hair I made sure that I had my engagement ring and earrings on. I put my shoes on and walked out of the room. “Angel you will definitely get everyone’s attention” Vincent said. “thank you and take it easy with the work” I said and Adam smiled at me.

I got in the car and the driver nodded at me before he drove to the company. when we got there he opened the door for me and I took a deep breath then walked inside the company. a few people turned and looked at me.

“isn’t that the boss’s soon to be husband?” I heard people whispering and I looked at them. they smiled when they saw me. “good afternoon sir” one of them said and I gave them a wide smile before nodding at them.

I walked to where Dominic’s office was and I saw his new secretary sitting on the desk looking bored. “hello is Dominic inside?” I asked and she glanced at me before nodding. I cleared my throat and she looked at me closely then her eyes widened.

The secretary stood up looking nervous. “hello sir.. would you like me to take you to the meeting room?” she asked and I shook my head. “thank you but I’m going to see my fiancé before the meeting” I said and she nodded.

“well yeah that explains why you are here” she mumbled looking embarrassed. “come in please” she said and I nodded. she definitely looked smarter than the last one. She opened the door for me and I walked inside the office.

The dumbass was looking annoyed as he tried to threw papers into the trash and failing when it bounced at the edge. I giggled at him and he looked at me then glanced at his secretary. He smiled when he looked at me again and stood up for me. fake ass.

I threw my arms around his neck. I was one too. “hey baby” he said and I kissed him. he kissed me back before pulling away and kissing me all over my face making me blush. “close the door” he said to his secretary who stood looking surprised at us.

When she closed the door we pulled away. “is she better than the last one?” I asked him and he nodded. “it’s good that I listened to you” he said and I smirked. “maybe you should do that more often” I said giggling and he scoffed.

I grabbed the papers that were on the floor and threw them in the trash. “is everyone working for you scared of you?” I asked him and he nodded making me sigh. “I can tell by how they acted with me.. it’s like they are scared to even look at me the wrong way” I said sitting on his desk.

“they should because if they did anything that upset you or harm you then I will fire them and make sure that they won’t be hired anywhere” he said and I felt a little surprised. So in a way he does care because to the others we are one.

“aww aren’t you sweet Dominic” I said and he scoffed at me but I didn’t miss the slight blush on his cheek. I smiled at him shaking my head. he really is stubborn. “Hayden is waiting for you at the meeting room” he said and I nodded getting up.

“are you coming too?” I asked him and he nodded. “I’ll grab a few things and I will be there” he said and took my hand. we walked out of the office. the secretary looked at us and stood up waiting for any request. “take him to the meeting room now and take care of everything he needs.. one complain and I will fire you because you wouldn’t be here if he didn’t tell me to fire the one before you” he threatened her and she nodded fast.

No wonder they are scared of him. he walks and say shit like that. “honey calm down I’m sure she will” I said and he nodded. poor women looked scared. he looked at me and kissed me softly. of course he doesn’t care about others feelings.

“may I say that you have a beautiful fiancé boss” she said to Dominic and he arched his eyebrows at her. “I’m aware of that.. it’s good to go back home and see his face after spending hours looking at you ugly motherfuckers” he said and I pressed my face to his side trying to hold my giggle.. he is rude.

He walked away and I looked at the secretary as she told me to follow her. “don’t take it personally he just have this weird mood swing but I’m sure he is a good boss” I said and she nodded. I walked inside the meeting room and Hayden was sitting there. “Angel you’re here” he said smiling and I nodded. he stood up and hugged me.

“okay so sit down” he said and I sat down. he sat next to me and looked at the secretary. “get us two coffees.. do you want anything Angel?” he asked me and I nodded. “cake” I said and he chuckled at me. “you heard him get us cakes too” he ordered her and she left.

“who is going to be here?” I asked him and he hummed. “just us and Dom” he said and I smiled feeling less nervous.

After a few minutes a guy and a women walked inside and sat in front of us. “oh I didn’t know that we will have you two joining us” Hayden said. “we have to since this will be an interesting contract” the women said with a flat voice and the guy smiled at me.

The secretary walked and put everything on the table. they made a small conversation with me but the women was a little off. I tasted the cake and it was good, Dominic walked in and everyone got quite as he smiled at me. he sat next to me and leaned closer.

I kissed him and he licked my lips. “hmm you taste sweet” he said and I smiled cutting some of the cake and feeding it to him. “thanks baby” he said and looked at the two managers and put his laptop on the table. I looked at the women and she scrunched her nose at me before she gave me a fake smile.

“let’s start” Dominic said and Hayden cleared his breath. “as stated in my contract I can get who I want in my songs and if it doesn’t harm the company then there is no reason for disagreement” Hayden said simply.

“we are aware of that but Angel already have a company he can sign in and own one day” the women said. I mean she wasn’t wrong but I’m doing this for myself and I don’t want to relay on my family’s name for it.

“first thing call him Mr. Ricard or sir” Dominic said and the managers nodded. “I won’t need to sign in my father’s company and I won’t need to do that here but I am respecting the rules for my husband since it will make it easier for him to handle things” I said to them and she looked a little surprised at what I said before she nodded.

She gave me a few papers and I looked at them. “this is the normal contract but we will adjust it to the way you like” she said looking a little pissed. I skimmed through the first page and hummed. “I won’t be tied down with specific years” I said and she arched her eyebrows.

“but that’s a basic rule in all contracts.. it won’t be possible to end it when you want because of who you are” she said and I gave her a little smirk. she was definitely looking for a fight. I wonder what made her act like this. I glanced at Dominic. Maybe she likes this fool and she got jealous.

“I’m sure not all contracts are the same” I said to her and she nodded. “well yeah but usually people prove their talent before signing the contract” she said. “like I said it’s my choice and he proved it to me” Hayden said and Dominic leaned back and he tapped his finger on the armchair.

“let me see the rest” I said and she sighed. I read through the rest of the contract and they all just waited for me. “I only want Hayden and Dominic to handle my business.. any important choice will be discussed with me before it is made, I will sing what I want and when I want so no time for the contract” I said and she clenched her jaw.

“I have worked here for years and I have never seen this before Mr. Ricard this a little too much it’s hardly a contract anymore” she said a little loudly then she looked at Dominic. She patted her eyelashes at him. “Mr. Ricard that’s not a good contract for the company.. it just seems like he is taking advantages of his position a little” she said biting her lips. Oh she definitely likes him. bad taste.  

She pretends that she cares about the company now. I wanted to laugh at her but I was a little pissed and usually I don’t get like that with strangers. “no one cares about my husband and his company more than me.. it was his decision to let me adjust the contract” I said and leaned to the front a little then put my hand on Dominic’s thigh.

“if you want to keep working here then my advice for you is know your place” I said making sure my voice was cold and calm. her eyes widened at me. “damn.. you got a feisty one sir” the guy said and Dominic chuckled nodding. “we will go through the rest of this alone” Dominic said and the women just grabbed her things and walked out.

The guy stood up. “yes sir” he said to Dominic then looked at me. “it’s nice to meet you and I’m glad you chose to work with us” he said and I smiled a little. “it’s nice to meet you too” I said and he smiled before leaving.

“didn’t think you had it in you to talk like this” Dominic said and I huffed. “she pissed me off” I said then looked at Dominic. “so cold and sexy” Hayden said and I laughed pushing him away. “anyway do what you want I have other things to do” Dominic said and walked out.

“so Angel I would like us to talk about the song and then the music” Hayden said and threw the contract papers behind him making me giggle. He was careless. He put a note book in front of me and opened it on a page. “this song will be the first song we sing together.. it’s a song I wrote the last month and I didn’t find someone suitable to sing it until I heard you” he said and I looked at the lyrics.
