Darling : I would like to go to sleep now.

Queen : why sleep when you can write? sleep is for the weakkkk

Darling : I'm sorry, I didn't replace my blood with redbull like a certain blonde I know. I'm a little tired after today.

Queen : this is what I'm here for, what happened??

Darling : Well I had a student today come out in front of the class.

Queen : you did?
Queen : are they okay?

Darling : Shes fine for the most part. I'm proud a majority of the class was supportive. I'm actually surprised it happened like it did. One of the male students was messing with another students hair while I wasn't looking. Apparently she and this girl student have been secretly dating and she couldn't take it anymore. She stood up, kissed her girlfriend, and shouted for everyone to hear, "Keep your hands off my girl before I actually attack you!" I turned around in the middle of the scene, stopped writing on the board, to see the class in a completely different headspace than before.

Queen : ☺️ sounds like you've got a pretty badass student there

Darling : After I got everyone to calm down was when I noticed some of my students looked uncomfortable. One female student took her Bible out in class to look up a verse I'm assuming. Where there were no lines, suddenly there was a grid. And it's exhausting.

Queen : its always gonna be like that darling. trust me, i know this more than anyone. its useless trying to fight it.

Darling : I don't think anything is useless. It's simply work. A lot of work.

Queen : sometimes its truly useless darling. there are some people you can't reason with. there are people who will be your best friend and just by hearing a piece of you they disagree with - they suddenly see you as alien.

Darling : Well, what I can do as their teacher is do 110 percent for them. Tomorrow I'll put everything into damage control. Even if I can't change anyone's mind, I can at least make the environment amicable. That's what teachers do.

Queen : youre truly amazing darling. i wishhh i had met you 10 years ago. I probably would've been a different person than i am now 😁
