TRONO: (The Last Monarch)

The Messenger (Part 2)

The Messenger (Part 2)

Sep 20, 2021

My response made her sigh and she brushed off the blonde locks of hair that covered her fair face. Her brown eyes didn't leave mine, as if she's confirming if my answer was real or not.

"Fine, you remembering it wouldn't change any of my plans either." She whispered before letting go of my hand. I brushed off her comment as it doesn't have anything to do with me and lay down on the bed.

I saw my stepmom take out her phone and dialed a number. She glanced at me so I smiled at her whilst enduring the pain on my cheeks.

"...matter. It's not like she ... anything either." I heard some of the words she was spouting. Who is my stepmom pertaining to? I listened as closely as possible because she is pretty far away from my bed.

"Proceed." My stepmom said with a smile. Oh, looks like her negotiation ended well. All she's been doing since I was a kid is business and I'm not interested in it.

I didn't realize that my stepmom was already beside me because I was spacing out and that gave me a bit of a heart attack because she was looking straight at my face. My stepmom is acting really weird today.

"Venaira, listen to me." She mentioned my name in a firm manner which made me pay attention to what she is going to say next. "Don't leave this room until I say so. You must not leave, okay? It's dangerous outside considering your condition-" "Yes, yes, I know. You don't have to remind me that I'm weak every single time and besides, where would I go with these injuries?" I cut in before she could even finish her sentence.

Really, it's very disheartening everytime they rub salt on your wound. My sister is the only one who understands me.

My stepmom looked at me with a sweet smile. She walked straight to the door, took a last glance and said, "Goodbye!" before closing the door.

Weird, she never said 'goodbye' to me whenever she heads out. Maybe she finally understood how to be filial after being buried by paperwork.

After confirming that she is no longer on the door, I gently got out of my bed and supported my walking with the dextrose stand on my right. It's really convenient.

I reached the window and took a glance outside. I am currently stationed on the fourth floor of the local hospital in the city near my house. My stepmom could've admitted me to the best hospital considering that our family earns a lot of money so why did she take me to this place instead??

Gosh, I wish my sister would visit me soon. I already miss her.

[Hey.]

I yelped because a voice suddenly popped out of nowhere and it was really close to my ears. I turned around only to find no one in the room except me.

[Jump out of the window right now or die.]

??!
