It was now 8pm, Micah was back in his office with Rowan and Xavier, Loki needed to catch up on his training, the three of them were sat around his desk, there was a map on the surface of the desk spread out before them, on it the pack lands were marked along with the outer limits of their patrol routes, and park view house. “So the first thing we need to do is find a way in to meet this girl, find out if she knows about the real world, maybe her parents told her something before she was orphaned, she may already know shes not human, but we need to find out one way or the other. I think I have a plan for that, which may, in time bring her to us too without any kind of kidnapping or faked death or other…dramatics.” Rowan started, giving Xavier a look as he talked about the dramatics. Xavier was the dramatic one of the pair and would have some kind of plan that no one but he could come up with or follow though this creative thinking has gotten the pair out of a lot of trouble when they were younger, Micah was more likely to be planning to storm the hospital with a small army of wolves at his back and take his Luna, to hell with how scared she would be or how many human casualties there were. But then he was an alpha and such thinking isn’t uncommon. “When I have more information on this girl, I will reach out to the human authority, the social services I believe, posing as a lost relative, an uncle or grandfather long estranged from the family, but now I am aware of what has happened to my family I wish to take care of Ashlyn, who I have never met. They will, with luck, facilitate a meeting and I will begin to explain the world to the girl as I get to know her. Hopefully, we will be able to cut through any objections and bring her here soon.” Micah looks mutinous at his fathers plan, nearly upending the desk as he pushed to his feet “you want to bond with MY MATE before ME?!” He cry’s, the walls shaking with the force of his voice, he brutally brushes Xavier’s hand from his shoulder, shaking his head “NO! I must be there, I promised her! We will just have to take her, we can watch for a while and see if they take her out, it will be easier to take her when shes not in there. Do we have any wolves who are trained to work somewhere like that?” Micah went on, his agitation rising more and more with every second. “Father, find me a hotel near there, Xavier, get me a car. I’m going to go be near to her, send me 30 warriors in the morning.”
Xavier and Rowan looked at each other, they shouldn’t be shocked, of course Micah wouldn’t be happy with the slow and gentle plan. He was an Alpha, as such he wanted immediate solutions and action, and he had found his mate now, but didn't know if she was safe or happy. Why wouldn’t he want her at his side? He’ll be restless and anxious without her, irritable and impulsive. Xavier couldn’t ignore a direct order from his alpha, well he could but it wouldn’t be wise right now, so he set off for the garage.
Rowan however, could ignore his sons orders, if he so desired. However, it wasn’t a bad idea to have some protection around this girl, so he would find a hotel, but he would also be finding a few warriors who could now. As he logged onto the computer, he called out to Rhys mentally, Rhys was the head warrior and in charge of the training for the younger fighters, he also set the schedule of training for the non-fighting members of the pack, every person over the age of 13 was required to undertake this training so that they can protect themselves in an emergency until help can arrive. The man was built like a tank, didn’t have much to say outside of training and security issues, which he handled jointly with Rafe, the human mate of a pack member, ex- police, who now runs his own private detective and security agency alongside running the packs cyber-security and helping to organise the physical security and response. Rhys appeared in the doorway 10 minutes later, having not bothered to reply to Rowans mental communication, just as Rowan found a hotel close to the hospital that looks like it should have rooms to spare. Rowan, noticing that the other man had arrived, looked up, waving him into the room and inviting him to take a seat on one of the chairs on the other side of the desk. “Rhys, I hate to jump right to business but I am afraid I am on a rather tight schedule this evening. I assume that you have spoken to Rafe about the situation with Micah’s mate?” Rowan enquired, ignoring the computer again. Upon the other mans nod, yes he was up to speed, Rowan continued “Micah is understandably… anxious for us to move quickly, he doesn’t agree with Rafe and my plan to insert ourselves into her life legitimately, he would prefer to do things faster and messier. He plans to storm the hospital tomorrow. I hope to talk some sense into him about that part, but in the mean time I need some people to go with him, we should have some guards around the hospital, just in case” Rowan again looks to Rhys for some acknowledgement, the other man cocks his head in response. “Would you agree that 5 men would be ok for the night? We can sort something more permanent in the morning.” Rowan checks with his head of security. “We have Luke, Zuri, Mark, Jake and Remi all unmated and free tonight” Rhys replied, with a nod, already pulling his phone out to tell them to grab their bags. All the warriors were trained to have a ‘go bag’ ready with the essentials for a week or so.
Xavier meanwhile, had organised Micah, as much as possible at the moment anyway, he had a bag with some clothes and toiletries in and was pacing in the hallway when the others appeared. Mark, always the one to stick rigidly to the rules, gave Micah a small nod and took his place by the door, Mark took his responsibilities seriously, Luke, the joker, wolf whistled as he bounded over to congratulate Micah enthusiastically, Jakes greeting was a much more somber “hey man, how you holding up?” While the girls came in much more slowly, making their way over to Micah, Luke and Jake, they had sympathetic looks on their faces as they put their hands on his forearm, giving small squeezes and rubs to show their solidarity. “We’ll get her, one way or another, we can sort this out” Zuri told him, Remi nodding, agreeing softly. Micah calmed a little when surrounded by pack members, it wouldn’t do for them to see him so erratic and anxious, he needed to hold himself together better for them.
The group left not 10 minutes later in an assortment of vehicles, from Micahs borrowed jeep renegade that looks almost brand new to Remi’s beat up little corsa and Mark’s bike, a Ducati Panigale V2. Driving the 2ish hours to the hotel near to the hospital where Ashlyn was currently residing. Micah vowed that this state of affairs would not last long. After checking into their 3 rooms and unpacking they split shifts watching the entrance and perimeter of the hospital. Micah, Mark and Zuri took the second shift, because Mark and Zuri had been on an early morning shift at home and would benefit from an extra bit of sleep and Micah had ran a lot today. It was about 3am when they got to the hospital. Everything seemed calm, there was some movement inside and lights but nothing more than would be expected for a hospital.
