As Arthur's eyes searched the unfamiliar room, there were several unfamiliar faces and only two familiar ones. Tears fell onto Arthur's face as Hikari kissed him.
"Hikari" Arthur tried to speak, but with no success. Something was keeping him from talking. He tried moving his body but found the very attempts to be excruciating. Through the pain he attempted to close his fists, finding a hold on something in his right. It was Hikari's hand, he thought to himself. As he squeezed tighter Hikari immediately looked at him, their eyes locking. Hikari's expression changed drastically as she realized that Arthur was alive.
“Arthur?" Hikari asked quietly at first, before repeating it again loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. The woman that was on the left side of him looked at him, her eyes wide in shock before quickly running out of the room yelling for the doctor.
Everyone in the room was staring in disbelief, unable to speak as Hikari held him in her arms crying. Only two minutes had passed when the doctor and nurse came back into the room.

As Doctor Hret Von Troglar, a half-orc male leaned back in his chair, his dress shirt's buttons straining from the pressure as it was a size too small, his thoughts were on his last meeting with Lord Narfad and the threat that was given to him. “Soon my family will be safe,” he whispered to himself. Lord Narfad swore a magical oath not to harm them or me, as long as Mr. Shepherd died.
“DOCTOR!” A voice cried out before there was banging on his door. “Mr. Shepherd is awake!”
Upon hearing those words Doctor Hret rushed out of his office, grabbing his lab coat in the process.

As Docter Hret and the nurse were examining Arthur everyone had stepped to the side to get out of the way.
"Okay," Fredryn said, annoyed, "what the fuck was that Hikari? What the fuck was that fairy tale bullshit of a revival?"
"I don't know Fred," Hikari responded with worry in her voice. While it was rude of him to say it the way he did, he had a point. No one has ever survived dragon poisoning without light magic being used, And only the church if light has the relics that could possibly do so. "It's almost impossible that someone cane in while I wasn't since the only times I left were to eat and use the restroom. "
After several minutes of talking, Doctor Hret came by asking to speak to Hikari. As she and Hret went over to Arthur's bed the others began leaving the room, with Alosrin leaving first. As he left the room a voice spoke up next to him.
"Told ya he would love." The man said casually walking next to the grandmaster. "My only question is why does everyone think he is a null? There is no possible way a null could possess such a sheer amount of mana. It was like a dragon was... holy shit.
"I see you have figured it out as well Illoharith." The grandmaster said turning to the middle-aged human, whose features were covered by an oversized cloak. "Though I am surprised it took you this long, even Zoru was able to figure it out, and she had only gotten the report."
"Oh haha, well sorry for not believing that a dragon gave a blessing. But since it did, someone will need to train him, for at least five years, on how to control mana." Illoharith said bluntly, slowly falling behind the fast-walking grandmaster.
"And I'm the only one capable of doing so, aren't I?" The grandmaster sighed.
"Yea, I doubt any of us would want to help, plus none of us are great at teaching." Illoharith laughed. After that, they walked out of the hospital and headed for the guildhall.

As Arthur stared out the window of his new hospital room, he looked down at what used to be his left arm. “I'm a failure,” he thought, “what can a craftsman do with just one arm, hell losing an arm is what causes craftsman to retire.” As Arthur continued his self-loathing, a fresh scent hit his nose pulling him back towards reality. As he looked towards where the scent was coming from, he saw that someone was outside his door. Then there was a knock on the door.
“Arthur are you awake? Can I come in?” A voice called out, it was Hikari's voice. Out of everyone Arthur knew, he wanted to see Hikari the least, well, actually, he didn't want her to see him, the way he looks now, the scars on his skin from the dragon poisoning, and his missing arm. “Arthur?” Hikari said again, worry growing in her voice.
“C... come in,” Arthur said, his voice still raspy from the breathing tube.
As soon as the door was opened and closed Hikari had already embraced Arthur in a hug. “Are you okay?” She asked, “why didn't you answer me the first time?” Arthur looked away from her, back down to his missing arm.
“I'm fine,” Arthur lied, hoping she wouldn't see through his fake smile. “I'm just tired that's all. The doctor said that it's probably normal, but he wasn't sure.” Arthur could see the worry growing on Hikari's face, and despite his efforts not to be swayed, his heart still ached to tell her the truth. “By the way, what is that smell?” Arthur asked quickly trying to change the subject.
“Oh, it's a new beastkin body wash, I had ordered it and had planned on taking it with us on our honeymoon to surprise you. Do... do you like it?” Hikari blushed.
“Yea I do,” Arthur said grabbing her left hand, but as soon as he had, he let go and pulled away.
“Arthur? What wro...” Hikari said before stopping herself, believing to know why he pulled away. “Arthur, don't worry about your wedding ring, I'm pretty sure we can find you a new one, don't worry.”

“What do you mean he's still alive?” Narfad growled as his servant told him the news. “Didn't the doctor say he had dragon poisoning?”
“Yes, he did my lord, but it seems as though he has recovered. The doctor was the one who informed us. I think he might want to know what you want him to do.” The servant responded, shaking.
“You think? You think? I didn't buy you to think, now bring the doctor's kid to me. I'm gonna cut off his finger to prove a fucking point. Don't, EVER disobey me.” Narfad yelled.
Okay, new job, same upload schedule, this chapter is being written by scratch instead of having a rough outline like the rest of the chapters so forgive me if things seem rushed. The character Zoru was made by a friend of mine, the character will be talked about later in the story.
