Zeiru's POV
“So, a human saw you?”
Were at the park after we told Sera what happened in detail.
“Well, that’s not impossible. Few people have this kind of talent to see us,” She explained as she’s playing on the swing.
“, we call them, THE OTHER.” She added as she stood up and fixed her dress.
“The Other?” I asked her. It somehow is like a movie title.
“Yeah, we call them that because they are the other beings who can see spirits and other stuff,” Sera said, explaining the name.
“I just can’t believe that they can also see death gods. Is that even fine?” Marik is also intrigued like me when it comes to them, the death gods.
“Nuh-uh,” She said as she shakes her head.
“, that’s why we keep tracking of those individuals with talent. So we can reap them in other way and avoid any commotion from them. Some tried to flee because they knew us. So the higher-ups told us to hide our presence from them.”
Well, anyone will be scared knowing a death god is coming to get you, of course, they will run away.
“Then if he can see Ru, is there any possibility that he can talk to him?”
Good thing that Marik knew what’s on my mind. I really want to know that, but I hate the idea of asking Elliot for help just in case.
“Yes. Especially if the human has a strong connection to the spirit.” Sera clearly explained to us.
Special connection, huh? Do we have that between us? All we did back then is bickering with each other. If there is even a connection, it might be Rina.
Marik and Sera looked at me, waiting for my response.
“Then, what is your plan, Ru?” Marik asked me.
I’m not even sure what it is. But somehow I wonder if that will work out.
“Well, It’s just… I need his help.”
Why I can’t continue what’s on my mind?
What, like borrowing his body for a while? Is that okay?
“Help, you mean-?”
“Whoa, wait wait-!” Sera cuts Marik and she go down to the swing and stand in front of me.
“Zeiru, you can’t do that! You can’t possess his body it will straight affect your date boundary. So it’s forbidden.”
Ah.
So it’s clear that I can’t do that after all, huh?
Now, what should I do?
“I just need to at least talk to her once more.” I’m once again felt the desperation.
If only there’s something I could do.
“What will you do, if you can borrow his body?” Marik said.
Since then, I actually planned out what I will do if I got the chance to talk to her once more. I just have to set things straight.
“I… have something to tell her. That’s all.” I shortly answered.
“Even if you do, are you sure she’ll believe you despite having Elliot’s body? It’s a huge bet, Zeiru. To think that it will directly affect your date boundary.” Marik points the obvious.
Of course, I know that. You can’t just appear in front of her and tell her that it’s me.
“You’re right. I can’t just do that. I’m just looking for another option.”
Now what? What should I do?
But I remember what Prim said, I can’t also talk to the living. But what if-
“Sera, communicating with the living is forbidden, right? What about to them, The Other?” I’m hoping for any possible answer this time.
“Hmm, now that you mention it since he’s from the group of the other, talking to him is fine. He got some spiritual awareness after all. But make sure he won’t make a scene or anything. It will cause a ruckus and the reaper’s association doesn’t want any issues to the living world.”
That’s good. That’s really good. Maybe this time I can finally help Rina in some other way.
Elliot’s POV
Now, what should I say to my manager about my bruise?
Can make-up cover it just for this shoot?
I can imagine how he will react when he sees my face like this.
“OH MY GOD!! L!!! WHAT HAPPENED?”
See? I know he will be like this.
The shoot this morning is a bit early because we needed sunrise for this.
“Don’t worry about it Glen, it’s nothing,” I said as I put down my bag on the table.
Glen is not an ordinary manager; to me, he’s a good friend. He’s 2 years older and he’s like my brother to me.
“Elliot, I told many times that violence won’t settle things. Why are you-?”
“Hold up, you can’t just accuse me of being violent. I have a reason.”
I said as I sat down and the make-up artist started to “fix” my face.
“Yeah? What reason it is this time?”
I somehow felt a bit irritated and at the same time calm.
I smirk, “Saving my ex-girlfriend.”
I said and I saw Ken’s facial reaction change into a disgusted one.
“You have an ex?” is he trying to mock me?
“You idiot, of course. I told you about her many times.” I almost rolled my eyes at him.
He stands there trying to remember it.
“Oh! I remember! Sorry,”
This guy, does he think I got many ex-girlfriends?
“So, what happened? You save her from whom?”
“To some drunk jerks.”
“Ohhh, a knight-in-shining-armor huh?”
“Stop that, I don’t want to talk about it now.” I’m more irritated now; I can’t help but asked myself what I did wrong to get a slap from her. It’s still the question I've been pondering since last night.
“Hmm, it’s been a while since I saw you like this. High school? Yeah?” Glen looks at me and trying to get more answers.
What should I answer him? That I’m still the same guy who is still hopelessly in love with my high school ex-girlfriend? Now that doesn’t make sense.
There’s no point in staying in my past. I should have moved on long ago, right?
Ru’s POV
“Until when do you plan on staying with us, Sera?” Marik cannot endure it anymore. I’m really laughing the whole day because Sera is all over him like a mad lover.
“I’m just lucky that it’s my day off and I got to be with you Marik.” She once again hugs Marik like a kid who wanted a new shiny new toy.
“You made my whole day enjoyable, Sera. Do come whenever you have time,” I added tease to him.
“Oh! Sure, Zeiru!”
“ZEIRU!”
Can’t help but laughs at how Marik calls my name with vengeance.
Then suddenly a black smoke showed up. And I don’t remember calling for Prim but he’s here?
“Zeiru, I don’t know if I need to tell you this,” Prim said.
Why he’s so serious this time?
“, but you’re woman’s name suddenly appeared on my death list, only to vanish in a second. Maybe something happened to her.”
What? Rina?
No way!
