I walked into mine and Dark's room to get a textbook, something in the closet door mirror caught my eye. I turned my head, seeing a pitch black reflection in the mirror, eyes narrowed "What do you want?" I walked over to the closet and slammed the door shut "D̸̥̀ẽ̵̝a̸̛ͅt̶̺̆h̴͕̔-" "Burn in Hell" I hissed. I walked back over to my bed, picked up the textbook and walked out the door. I walked down the hallway into the living room where most of the guys were and sat down on the couch, still fucking pissed "Death, are you alright?" Broody asked as Anti walked into the room while Gamer leaned on the door frame "Yeah, I'm fine-" "Hey Gamer" out of the corner of my eye I saw Leo walking down the hallway, excited look on his face as Gamer turned his attention to him. Leo started rambling on about stupid nonsense that I could barely hear... yet I was getting madder by the second. "That's great-" "I mean it's so cool- I couldn't hear anything but the music, and then Lucifer made her practice her powers on me-" "Leo, calm down" Gamer laughed "Sorry-" "You guys done yet? There are people in here doing work" I said… a bit rudely. "Death- manners" Alex said harshly "You say that to me, but not the angel and emo-" "Death" I looked over at Gamer, crossing his arms and a hundred percent pissed off "A word?" I stood up "Your dead" Dark whispered before I walked out of the room "Just gonna wait with them" Leo walked into the living room, closing the door behind him.

"The hell is your problem?" Gamer spat "So first time you speak to me ever since we came back and those are the words you choose-" "Oh for fuck sake- I have other friends Death, you had the whole day back at Riverside-" "I barely got to talk to you then!" I yelled, hearing the everyone else in the other room go silent including Gamer himself. "With you gone, I sat in my room all pathetic and useless, blaming myself and thinking you were dead! I thought there'd be no way in hell I'd ever get to hear or see my friend ever again" there was dead silence "I couldn't eat or sleep or do anything with picturing your dead body- multiple times in the past I have watched you get injured over and over again, so I was dead scared that something incredibly horrible happened to you". Truth, all of it and at this moment, if anyone asked any question, I'd answer it with the truth. "Death-" "No-" "Death, listen for once in your life!" I froze "I maybe a fallen, but I can protect myself" Gamer said quietly so no one in the other room heard "I'm not dead and I'm sorry that my disappearance convinced you that I was…and truth is…" "Truth?" I questioned as Gamer rolled up his sleeve, revealing the star tattoo on his wrist "I couldn't stop thinking about you either….." his voice was so quiet, I only just heard what he said, meanwhile you could hear the others ask each other what we were saying now. "I thought about how if I came back… how broken I'd be if any of you didn't make it, especially you and Angel" the memory of that night played in my head, how Gamer used his powers to get everyone out of the warehouse so that we were safe. As if he'd care about his own safety because he hates himself and cares about everyone else... I guess in all honesty, I would've done the same that night if the roles were switched. Wait- off topic, need to settle this fucking bullshit "Why have you been hanging out with Leo-" Gamer grabbed my arm and dragged me into his and Anti's room, closing and locking the door "You seriously asking a stupid-" "It's only a stupid question if you make it one" Gamer glared at me. "Seriously, all I'm asking for is the truth-" "Its none of your business" he spat "He's been by your side ever since school started back, six weeks and he's the fucking asshole you spend most of your time with- I just want to know why you don't hate him anymore- he fucking threatened us and you hated him so much... I just want to know what's so fucking important that you can't even tell me what it is".

There was a minute of dead silence "What's so important-" "Leo likes Isra…." Gamer said quietly as I stood there… a bit shocked "Leo what?" "Likes Isra Hollow… and since she's a shadow walker like me and is somewhat as shy and awkward-" "You're making sure he knows what to do and not do when he's around her" I closed my eyes, embarrassed about my stupid behavior until I started laughing a bit. "Leo likes the shy quiet girl-" "Death" I looked at Gamer, seeing him with his arms crossed "Okay, sorry… I just didn't think the guy actually had a heart, but after you telling me… it explains a lot about the way he's been acting around her lately and how fucking excited he was when Lucifer made them partner up during class". Gamer signed, still looking pissed as he looked at the ground... shit, I feel bad "Sorry for forcing you to tell me-" "No, you're right... I um... was actually using that and Leo to avoid you" Gamer admitted as I raised an eyebrow "Avoid... me?" "Leo knew I was avoiding you too and tried convincing me to talk to you about whatever the reason I was... I didn't want to remember or talk about what happen before-" "Why would you avoid me?" I asked, stopping Gamer in the middle of his confusing ramble. "U-uh..." Gamer looked at the ground, avoiding eye contact "Gamer, why would you avoid me- what do you want to avoid talking about-" "What happened at Hell's palace" I stood there confused for a second before remembering... the kiss. "Well now that just leaves what happened before the explosion, at Hell's palace" "Y-yeah…" the look on Gamer's face made it seem that he really wanted to avoid this part of the conversation. "We have to talk about it sooner or later" "Yeah, I just really wish it was later-" "You've been back for about six weeks Gamer, we have to talk about it now" Gamer kept his eyes to the ground as I signed. The question had been lingering in my head since it happened.

"Did it mean anything to you?" "No… it didn't" Gamer answered, looking at the ground... that kind of hurt me a bit "So… we're just deciding to forget everything I said and that it happened-" "Yes"Gamer answered, a bit too fast, just proving how desperate he was for this conversation to end. "What if it happens again?" I hesitantly asked, no control over the words that left my mouth "Then… it happens, no matter how many times, it'll always still mean nothing" again, his answer hurt, like a bullet hitting me in the chest "So… we still friends or are we-" "Don't-" "Friends with benefits?" Gamer looked at me, confused. "What?" I raised an eyebrow "Friends with- wait, have you never heard of that before?" "...no" I looked at him in disbelief "You've been a demon for about fourteen years- How don't you-" "I'm a fallen not a fucking know-it-all or mind reader!". How? The time he spent in Hell- no, back then I was the one teaching him things so its my fault that he doesn't even know what it is. I was too fucking busy keeping him away from all other sins and I didn't even think to tell him about them. I signed "Okay, basically what it'd be for us would be that we're friends... but also...." I felt awkward trying to explain it, it's not in my line of expertise since I'm a torture demon "Also what?" "U-uh... kiss and kind of... more, but still friends in a platonic way" he could tell I wasn't gonna explain it any better. "So? Just friends or friends with benefits?" Gamer looked at me weirdly "I-I don't know" I crossed my arms "Really? You don't know?" "You seriously making me pick-" "I'm not fucking asking you to marry me or be my boyfriend". Gamer stayed silent for a couple of minutes until "…if it happens again, then fine" "Alright, going with stupid option" Gamer shot me a glare "Okay, okay, better to have an answer than none". A minute passed of awkwardness "So... we're 'just friends' until another incident and then friends with benefits?" "Y-yeah" I held out my hand "Shake on it to make it official?" "F-fine" Gamer shook my hand as my heart beated a little faster "You better not tell a fucking soul about this" "I won't-" "I mean it, not even Angel, Akire, Anti or Dark- especially not Dark" "As long as you don't tell Leo either" I narrowed my eyes as Gamer rolled his. 

A few minutes later, I walked back into the living room where everyone else waited in silence, I sat down, all eyes on me while the front door slammed "What... happened?" Alex asked quietly "Is Gamer mad or-" "He just needs to cool off a bit".....
