Jack pulled out his phone to call his mum, she picked up the phone after two rings. 

" Hi sweetie, what is it? I'm not home right now and I probably won't be for a few hours." She was still out helping her husband and taking care of the children in the camp.

" Ugh, hi mom, can I take a classmate with me home to work on a school project?" It felt so weird to Jack to have to call his mom for mom he is not used to talking to his parents in public where people could hear him.

" Mom? oh, you're in public. Sure, you can take a friend with you home just don't break anything, okay?" She was just as weirded out to hear him call her mom, as he was to call her mom.

" Thank you, and of course we won't break anything." 

" Okay, have fun I have to go now bye see you later."

" Bye mum."

Jack ended the call and put his phone back in his pocket and looked at Liam " I hope you don't have a problem with walking it's not that far away." " Oh, so she said yes?" Liam asked he looked almost like an excited puppy, Jack was sure that if Liam had a tail, it would be waking like crazy right now " Yeah, she said yes. It is just about 3 km (1.87 miles) from here." " I don't have a problem with walking, you just lead the way."

Jack and Liam walked side by side as they made their way to Jacks house, as they walked, they passed the forest that Jack usually meets the white wolf in and Jack stopped to look at the hole in the fence and found that it had been closed off 'that is properly one of the things that mater and pater have been working on.' Jack thought, and with the hole in the fence being closed off, how is he going to meet the white wolf again. " Jack, are you okay? you have been staring at that fence for some time now." Jack snapped out of it and looked at Liam " oh, sorry I was just lost in thought." Jack continued to walk the rest of the way to his house.

Jack walked up to his front door and unlocked it so they could get inside. " Do you want something to drink? I have apple juice and water." Jack asked as he looked inside the fridge " some water would be fine." Liam answered as he looked around the kitchen " you can just up into my room, while I make some snacks. It is up the stairs and then the second door on your left." " um, sure." Jack watched Liam walk up the stairs to the second floor. He turned around to take a bag of chips from the cupboard and put them in a bowl to take with him upstairs, he put it all on a tray and walked into his room. 

Inside he found Liam sitting on the floor next to his table he walked over and set the tray down " you can have a pillow if you want." " no, it is fine, but thanks." Jack sat down next to Liam and took his computer out " I still feel like you should tell the teacher about that girl." " I thought I already told you, I can't, they don't like me now, and they differently won't like me if I snitch on them. And besides I rater they steal the topic in the beginning, so I have time to come up with a new one then in the end" " you probably have a point, but I still don't like it." Liam said as he crossed his arms over his chest and pouted " hahaha you look like a big puppy sometimes." Liam turned his head to look at Jack " I am not a puppy." " yeah, I know, but you still look like one." Jack looked at his computer and found the list he had made on potential topics " alright we have to start with finding a topic. Some of the topics I think we could make a good project about is ' trash in the environment ' or maybe ' technologies influences ' " Liam looked over at Jacks computer and read some of the topics on the list.

" What about that one?" Jack looked to where Liam was pointing on the screen, it read ' LGBT+ youth ' " are you sure? it was really just a mistake that it was on there, I meant to delete it." " if you don't want to, we can pick something else." " no, it is fine with me, I was just worried about you." " why would you be worried about me? what could happen to me if we pick this topic?" Jack sighed and looked at Liam " people at school are already going to make fun of you for being around me, even if it wasn't your choice, and then if we pick this topic about the LGBT+, they may also think that you're gay, and then make fun of you because of that." Jack dropped his head, and he could feel tears starting to surface " I'm sorry that I have dragged you into this and it is just your first day too." Liam saw a tear fall down Jack's cheek and pulled him into his arms to give him a hug " hey, don't cry it's not your fault, and who cares what the others think, and besides it doesn't matter if they think I'm gay, because I'm actually gay, and if they make fun of me for that then that is on them, not you, okay?" Jack looked up at Liam and wiped his eyes " okay. Then let us begin on the project."
