So I don’t really have any special interests at the moment that is mostly due to the fact that high school gets in the way of everything! But when I was younger (before I came out as Trans) I was obsessed with Monster High dolls.
I never liked Barbies because they were all the same, none of them had anything that made them unique. But Monster High dolls were all different, and they were the children of all the classic horror movie monsters. However I didn’t "play" with the dolls, I would take them out of the box, put them on their stand, read the diary that they came with and based on the information in the diary I would put them on my shelf or in my cupboard (I had to many to fit them all on the shelf, so the shelf was reserved for my favourites), I always tried to keep them with their friends and away from the people they don’t like, I would then cut out the information blurb on the back of the box, I kept all the blurbs together.
Once a month I would bring them down one by one, and I would dust them, brush their hair, re-pose them, and put them back on my shelf or in my cupboard. The only other time I would take them off the shelf or out of the cupboard was to watch the movies with me, I would get the dolls that were in the movie and I would set them up on the coffee table and when the movie was over I would put the dolls back on the shelf, or in my cupboard.
A few years ago I decided to pack up all the dolls, they are now stored in my garage, but I still enjoy the movies, and I occasionally read the books, and if I remember correctly I had 187 dolls.
I hope that answers your question!
