when they finally arrived at the dark hut Sampson “kid if you're staying you have to do your share of the work. he parked the cart and started unloading. Kyu put the duffel against the shack and started bringing things from the cart to the door not knowing were anything went. Sampson got annoyed “ Kid take that and put it on the counter in the kitchen.” Kyu hesitated then not knowing what else to do put the bag on the counter. 

Sampson would bark orders of were to put each thing.

after unloading was done Sampson started putting things away. Kyu just sat on the one chair taking in the surroundings. Yuki had been obsessed with cleanliness and it had been Kyus job to make sure any room his mom had been in was spotless not a hair to be found. so this house covered in fur was overwhelming in contrast! a dim Lightbulb sparked to light in Kyus mind “ y y yu you’re a werwolf!” 

Sampson sighed heavily then continued on unpacking “Vie was never one to tell a thing that could be held”

“did you know Cypher”

“yes”

“he is were all my stuff came from and I trust him so I’d like my stuff when it’s okay…”

“hmmm”

“I, I’m going to clean up then, Yuky train me as a butler, so if i have to do my part, that is what I can do.”

Kyu went out and dug out a stripped apron out of the duffle. then came in and started going through some of the room looking for a broom 

Sampson grabbed Kyus wrist “ what are you doing?”

Kyu “ I need a broom and dust pan.”

Sampson “if you need something you make” 

still holding the wrist he drags Kyu outside broke a straight branch took his knife and swiftly cut it to a clean poll handed it to Kyu. yanked a small vine from another tree cutting it to a stretched arm length handed it to Kyu then went to the tall grass behind the house grabbed great handfuls cut them with his knife and handed them to Kyu. “there you have a broom” then he stocked back into the house. 

Kyu had to think for a long time then went to the duffel and stated looking at the book. after a time and with the wright books Kyu had fashioned a sloppy but useable broom then looking around decided a dust pan would have to wait. so went about first dusting the rafters the cabinets and then counter tops with old stains witch would have to be cleaned later but dust and hair first then furniture and floors. 

Sampson had disappeared some time ago and came back with another raccoon for dinner. he cooked it out side in a proper clay oven and when he came back inside he was shocked at the clean state of everything.

“If I had water I could do better but this should keep the hair out of our food.”

Sampson “I’ll show you around tomorrow. eat then sleep”

Kyu took the food “did you love my mother?”

Sampson shocked by the impertinence of this pup choked on his food for a moment.  thumped his chest then chocked out “Vie is my litter mate not a lover.”

Kyu starred at him eyes wide, mouth agape. 

Sampson “you really didn’t know about me at all?”

Kyu “I mean maybe she called all men my uncle even Cypher and I know he was Madly in love with her, if I looked anything like him I would have though he is my dad but that is one she never said anything about.”

Sampson “ not that she would know.”

Kyu “ no she wouldn’t… you know I don’t look … normal. Yuki said runts happen it’s like a mutation of less pure breads, but mom is as pure bread as they come she was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen…”

Sampson “and she knew it too.”

they were quite eating for a time but seeing the meal wrapping up Kyu ventured “seeing as you are my uncle may I know you name?” saying mister all the time is odd and a werewolf can’t really be a master.

Sampson “when rich people buy big dogs they give them big dumb names mine is Sampson and yours?”

Yuki named me “Kyu I think it’s a joke and she knows who my father is but she never said”  after more silence “ Sampson fits you, I like it. but um were am I going to sleep?”

Sampson growled it wasn’t as freighting as last time but he was obviously running low on words for the day.  “If you need a bed you make it if you need a chair you make it you want food you hunt it.”

Kyu nodded a little and looked at the floor they finished there food and Sampson laid down on the single cot to sleep. Kyu went outside got the duffle and stated turning in circles finally they shrugged and found a bit of floor and again as far from Sampson as they could hugging the duffle and tried to sleep.
