Chapter 3 - The "Training" Begins!
Oct 07, 2021
“Huh, so this wasn’t a weird dream? I was sure I was dreaming or something.” after waking up, Kenta realized that he was still in the medium-sized wooden room, and not in his bed at home. “I guess today is the first day of my training with Heisha, to be honest, I’m not looking forward to it.”
Just then loud footsteps could be heard outside of the room, the door suddenly opened, and there she was, Heisha in a full set of Armor waiting for Kenta to get ready.
“Hey! Why aren’t you ready yet? We were supposed to start your training at Sunrise!”
“But the Sun hasn’t risen yet though?” exclaimed Kenta.
“Duh! You should’ve been at the Training field at Sunrise, which means you must get up before, to be ready for your training! And don’t forget, we’re not stopping until the Sunsets!”
“What? We’ll be training the whole day? That’s crazy! No, no, no, you can’t do this to me!”
“What do you mean Kenta? This will be your daily routine for at least this month! You’re too chubby so we have to get you into shape as fast as we can!”
Kenta reluctantly got out of his bed, got ready for training, and went out to the courtyard into the training field with Heisha, it was a large space where many other Knights were sparring with each other, every single one of them looked like they could easily lift Kenta with ease.
“Here take this!” a wooden sword flew in the direction of Kenta, he picked it up.
“Don’t tell me we’ll also spar like the others here?”
“Of course we will! I must see what you’re made of! I mean you’re certainly big, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be good with the blade! First, take out your status field and tell me your stats!”
“S-status field? Like in a Video Game?” Kenta was now visibly surprised “So I’ll become stronger, just like in an RPG!”
Heisha was confused “Video Games? What’s that? Well, no matter, just say “status open” to bring it up, tell me everything that you can see on it”
“status open!” a bright green status window suddenly opened up before Kenta some general information about him was shown there, but some spaces were listed as just ‘???’.
Kenta was now looking at his stats, just as expected his Stamina was incredibly low, and he had the occupation of Prophesied Hero but with a question mark at the end, what was that about? The Skills were also a mystery for him, there was of course the skill that allowed him to understand and speak any language that exists on the Old Continent, but two skills were just shown as three question marks. “Maybe I shouldn’t tell Heisha about these,” he thought to himself.
“So Kenta! Tell me your stats!” said Heisha awaiting a quick response.
After telling his stats to Heisha she first just looked at him, then she began to speak. “The HP isn’t bad, you haven’t started training yet but it’s already higher than that of an ordinary person, sadly you don’t possess any Mana yet so we can’t teach you any magic, you’re not too short so we can easily turn that fat of yours into some muscle hah! But there is one little detail that worries me a bit.”
“And what’s that?” Kenta couldn’t imagine what she meant.
“YOUR STAMINA IS ALREADY ALMOST DEPLETED AND WE HAVEN’T STARTED TRANING YET! WHAT'S WORSE, YOU HAVE LESS STAMINA THAN A FREAKING 10-YEAR-OLD KID! Huh, I guess training you will not be that easy… forget swords training, we must work on your stamina first!”
“And how will do that? Do I have to train under a waterfall or something like that?”
“What? Of course not! We’ll be running around the training field, then you’ll help the maids and butlers in cleaning some rooms! No better way to train your stamina than some physical movement with your whole body!”
Small tears could be seen coming out of Kenta’s eyes, this will be perhaps the most exhausting day in his life up to today, he never even cleaned his room, or went for a walk, and now he has to do both in one day!
“I-I don’t think I can do it Heisha—”
Before he could finish his sentence Heisha grabbed him by the arm and She began running, Kenta of course had to go with her, and so his hellish training (for him) has begun.
Arakaki Kenta is in no way perfect, he is heavily overweight, has almost no social skills, and doesn't really care about his hygiene or the way he dresses, but god doesn't really have the time to be picky and chooses him to be a hero in a new world he created.
Will Kenta be able to fix his flaws and become the hero that the new world of Ilydia needs?
