Nothing brings a brother and brother-in-law closer than a wild escape from a fishing trip. Seems like George's violin practice will have to be cut short. But how will they escape? We'll find out in the next episode!
I've been really excited to bring George into the comic. His flippancy paired with Jonathan's anxiety make for an interesting match! Also George's hair is just really fun to draw :D
If you want to know what violin solo George is playing, listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPdk5GaIDjo
*For non-musicians, he's playing the very fast solo part near the beginning. I would have included it as background music but I can't figure out how this SoundCloud thing works. Happy to get suggestions!
After a catastrophic earthquake devastated the world, only those who could adapt survived. Those who could outrun the disaster and use what resources they could scavenge from the surface became the tall, dark Magnos. Those who fled from the disaster by hiding underground became the small, fair Parvish. And those who outsmarted the disaster, building great feats of engineering to shield themselves from the calamity, became the more-or-less average Medians.
In the aftermath, three countries were created from three islands that used to be one: Magno, Parvum, and Medius. The islands together were called Trio. The Medians built bridges to connect the people together, but much still keeps them apart. Differences are hard to overcome, even within a simple Median family like Ellie Sweet's. But that doesn't mean they are insurmountable. After all, the Sweet-McGee family has made it this far without killing each other. Maybe there's hope for the land of Trio after all.
