There was once an army in Albion known by the name "Guards of the Owl", this army did not necessarily have any impressive battle prowess or magic capabilities in battle; however, what they lacked in offensive or defensive capabilities, they made up by their extreme uniqueness.
Indeed this army focuses mainly on one thing '''war strategies and effective use of personnel", make no mistake while this might look dull and unclear, this division of the army is extremely feared and hated by all its opponents, primarily because of its cunning nature of advance and retreat.
Many speak of the saying, ''all is fair in war'', those that have faced the Owl guards will find this saying to be a creed of the Owls in its finest core.
There was once an army led by the famous general, "the hound", known for its ferocity and cruelness, yet this same general will never forget its first meeting with the Owls.
While the hound and its army of killers, came to a city to besiege and plunder, they did not know that the Guards of the Owl were stationed in this particular city and met with a disaster they will not be able to live to tell the tale of.
(begin future timeline)
City of Krono, Northern base, Owl guards HQ
Hurried footsteps can be heard in a tunnel underneath the city center of Krono, the secret base of the Owls.
Commander! Report! Report! The Hound is incoming with approximately 4000 to 6000 combatants!
Within the lowest levels of the base, a man was sitting with closed eyes, shouts can be heard from afar.
Commander! Commander!
A soldier with the insignia of the white and purple colored Owl walks in.
Commander Rowan, report on possible incoming enemy combatants with the general being the Hound.
The man being called upon opens his eyes.
A terrifying dept of aura, containing intelligent and the all-knowing perception of the leader of the owls awaken with its wake.
Commander Rowan sneers: I see, finally you have come knocking on your own deathbed, oh Hound of the north!
Leave me, ill be there in a second.
The soldier bows, by your command!
Rowan sighs and opens one of the drawers and sees a picture laying there with two elders and four brothers in front of a small inn.
Rowan gazes at the picture with his brothers and thinks forgive me brothers but I must make the north more secure and safe or else none of you can grow up in peace.
Rowan suddenly thinks of the youngest of the four Mercele, and smiles tenderly, silly little brother you probably are making trouble for your elders even now, but that's alright big brother Faren and that sneaky Lucas will take care of you brat properly till my return.
Rowan walks upside and orders his army.
Listen up! Our prey has arrived as we had predicted, are you lot ready to take a bite of a menace to the North?
All the guards respond, we hear and obey!
Commander Rowan nods: Alright, gear up and commence operation "Empty Dog House".
All soldiers move in unison in various directions and start to work on their preparation.
As Rowan watches them leave he picks up a large white flag in a storage box.
Upstairs Rowan walks towards his horse and takes a gaze at its eyes, Glades it's time to hunt some villains are you ready for a run?
Glades: Neigh, neigh!
Rowan sits on Glades, forward!
The horse charges towards the outer city wall.
The outer city wall, of the city of Krono.
Several city guards can be seen pacing back and forth, because of incoming invasion by the hound and its men.
Commander Rowan walks up the stairs and arrives at an arrow tower with a couple of soldiers.
He walks towards them.
Alright, soldiers of the city guard, your task has been fulfilled you can leave your posts and assist or rejoin the ranks of the other battalions.
The soldiers hesitate but eventually leave the arrow tower in an orderly manner.
Rowan gazes at the incoming rows of enemy soldiers in the distance.
Rowan sneers: You have come for a quick harvest and killing, yet you have no idea there are too many people who want you bunch to leave the realm of the living for all that you have done to us, and moves towards the flag pole.
A large and clear white flag is raised in the air, indicating the surrender of the city to the enemy.
Four thousand meters away from Krono,
Around a carriage carrying a large man with terrifying killing intent and a large ax on his back, rows of soldiers can be seen marching with a black flag and the symbol of various hounds biting on corpses.
A soldier walks towards the large man and whispers, my lord we have just received a possible surrender of the city by its defenders.
The Hound smirks: Is that so?
The soldier nods and confirms the question.
The Hound laughs hysterically: Men! The city of Krono does not even wish to struggle, how many women do you all want? Or are all of you interested in the meat and wine specialty of this tiny city?
My rules are always the most simple one, Kill the men, take the women, Wealth is distributed on the basis of me taking 50 percent and the rest you all can divide among yourself, is that understood?
All the soldiers: Yes general!
The Hound: Forward and kill to your satisfaction! Do as you wish, however, break my rules, and the only fate you will have to be eaten by my little boys, mention his fierce wild dogs at his feet.
While the soldiers were terrified by his last sentence they are nonetheless excited, for the massacre is about to begin!
