I was back at the palace; I had gone to visit my cousins in the southern Kingdom.

I hurried to get to my room, I locked the door. I wanted to see him, five days without seen him was too much. I found the way to be able to block him while I was outside. This was to protect him, more than the people around me.

I felt how the air changed direction in my room.

Irhin- I've missed you so much...

The curtains on my window moved, the air came in. I was facing away from the window, and I closed my eyes.

My dress moved subtly with the touch of the wind, and there I felt his arms around me. With one of his hands he removed my hair from my face, he placed it behind my ear; the hiss of his voice sounded so soft in my ear.

Darklion- I missed you too...

Darklion was in front of me, it was the first time we were so close to each other. I smiled and opened my eyes. Those beautiful hazel eyes that I already love.

I never imagined being so close to him... To me he was a beautiful being, not only physically but inside too. I had found something very pure in him. For him, I was a beautiful woman, a soul so bright, pure and innocent; he told me that. I had found a way that Darklion's cold heart was gradually warming up.

Darklion placed his fingers on my cheek, when touching me, his body temperature was cold.

Darklion - it burns.

That didn't make Darklion to back off, not even for a little, I felt the need to have him close to me. He gently bit his lower lip. Is like he wanted to kiss me, that need to do it ran through his cold body. But he knew he couldn't do it; he was a Vampire, and he didn't want to hurt me. The smell of my blood was so attractive to him that he wanted it with all his being.

I kept staring at him, Darklion also saw directly to my eyes. My eyes shone with the reflection of the moonlight that entered my room. To Darklion that was more irresistible. He didn't think about it anymore. I wanted to kiss him; it was like an urge. 

We heard Lestat's voice from the corridor, he was running...

I reacted upon hearing Lestat's voice.

Irhin- You must go!

Darklion- I will not go.

Irhin- My love for you is too big to allow someone to hurt you... I would not forgive myself. Please. My beloved go!

Darklion took a few steps back and turned around. Before leaving; as a last-minute decision, he turned again on his feet facing me and kissed me on the lips. At that moment he vanished and Lestat entered my room.

Lestat - Why didn't you open the door? I called your name!!

Irhin - were you talking to me?

Lestat - Yes, I said your name countless times.

Irhin - I didn't hear you Lestat, I'm sorry.

Lestat walked around the room, looking for something or someone... he had his sword drawn.

Irhin- Is something wrong Lestat?

Lestat- N-no. Are you okay?

Irhin- Yes, just a little exhausted from the trip. I'm going to bed.

Lestat- I'm sorry, Irhin. I'm going out then.

Lestat nodded to me, bowing his head in front of me. I politely answered it and then I walked to the restroom of my bedroom, I opened the door but still turning my back to him.

Lestat- I'm going to protect you with my life Irhin and that vampire lord that everyone fears; I will destroy it with my own hands and that includes each and every one of them.

I was flattened at Lestat, I didn't turn my face to look at him and I just nodded my head. I went into the next room and closed the door behind me.
