The sun sets along the growing shadows of the cabin. Mia lands lightly to her feet by a crack in the door. Her head goes up enamoured at the sheer size of this institution’s entrance. She tries peering through the crack wanting to see the other side. She examines it. Unsure if it is fear or excitement that rumbles through her stomach. She dings her helmet between the crevice. She holds her breath as she squeezes through without even a crack in her helmet. Her puffed up cheeks blow out the confined air in an awesome relief, fogging up her dome. Waiting only brief seconds so she can absorb her new curious space.
A place Mia has never seen before. Large, and spacious looking like trees collided together in the most sophisticated way. Her eyes wide with disbelief at the tall wooden towers that reach as high as the clouds. A large oval shape connects all four towers as if it were a high platform. Her curious hands flicker at her thrusters, igniting her jetpack where she is catapulted in the air and then landing safely atop the platform. Her smile is endless as her cheeks flush with pink. Looking up at what appears to be several different colored flowers planted in a pinkish red pot. Another platform just parallel to her, decorated in pictures of leaves and butterflies where a large half glass dome sits empty but one rotting apple where a hole sits just above her vision.
Her crystal blues dart downward to an odd fixture. Setting her thrusters off conservatively, she lands just a foot away from her next attraction. A block of cheese the size of her head reflects off her helmet as she moves in closer. She examines it carefully. Wary of the silver plank it sits on. Her stomach grumbles uncomfortably. Mia reaches out her hands closing in on the bright yellow prize. She snatches the block with one quick swipe, avoiding the surprising metal bar that moves at lightning speed, almost snapping her forearms in two.
“Ahh!”
Mia lands hard on her backside. The bug sized girl blasts off cradling her anticipated meal that will last as long as she needs it to.
