I finally got to see his full figure. He was about 5 foot 1 with small, red, horn nubs on his head. He had a pretty skinny body for a little monster boy. He was wearing little blue jean overalls with a charcoal colored short sleeved shirt underneath. He had on some kind of torn up sneakers with mismatched socks on. His hair was a light silver/gray color and he had lots of freckles spread atop his cheeks. Then I saw his eyes.. Dark, ominous, pits of nothingness. His skin was very pale with a hint of a hibiscus color.
“What was your name?” I asked, wide-eyed and puzzled to see him in my room. He looks at me for a couple more moments before going back to my toys he was playing with.
“Frikio, Frikio gehenna.” He says with a thick, kind of spanish accent. He stops playing with the toys for a moment.
“I was bored and I thought you had left, sorry.” He hung his head in guilt for coming in without permission.
“That’s ok, but can you leave for a minute? I kinda have to change for school.”
“Ok, can I come back when you leave?” He asks with a small, and hushed voice.
“Y- yes” I say, slightly caught off guard. He nods and slides back under the bed. I watch as he slips through a little portal he conjured up. Frikio looks back up at me and smiles.
“I’ll see you later...What’s your name?”
“Oh Alexia, Alexia Foreman.” I say with pride, as if my name was the best name in all of history.
“Well then, Alexia, I’ll see you later.” Frikio says. He then slowly slides into the luminous portal of the unknown. I realize that I’m once again all alone in my room. I also realize that I’m supposed to be getting dressed for school!
“Oh no oh no oh no!” I hurry and throw on my clothes that I had laid out the night before. I ran downstairs to meet my father who had been waiting for me by the front door.
“What took you so long princess?” My father asks. Once again I had to lie to him.
“I didn’t lay out my clothes last night,” I lied, “I was too tired.”
He examined my face, but of course, I didn’t budge. He gave up and opened the front door and we made our way to the car for the ride to school.
When he dropped me off in front of the school, I was greeted by my two friends Alyx and Ari. I thought about telling them about Frikio, but then decided against it because I didn’t want it to somehow get to my parents. As you should know by now, they would kill us both. So I kept my mouth shut about Frikio for the rest of the day until I got home.
